Story
Chapter 1
At the entrance to the law faculty, a group of girls is smoking while talking about the latest history of law exam and how brutally difficult it was. Meanwhile Sarah, also smoking, approaches the group hand-in-hand with her boyfriend.
“Girls, and you lot — did you ?” Sarah asks the group.
“I seriously need to it, otherwise I won’t reach the average…” says a girl with brown hair, brown eyes, very pale skin and an oversized black hoodie that completely covers her torso.
The atmosphere is filled with anxiety about the grades, although Sarah isn’t that worried. Today she has another concern: it’s been one year since she started dating her boyfriend, and she’s excitedly waiting to see what he has prepared to celebrate this special day. Right now the exam grade barely matters to her.
“Okay girls, we have to go. Do you know when the marks will be published?” Sarah says while taking her boyfriend’s hand, ready to leave.
“No idea, probably this week,” answers one of the girls while exhaling smoke.
Sarah starts saying goodbye to each one. “Alright then, we’re off. Bye girls!”
She and her boyfriend quickly disappear from the scene.
Once they’re gone, the remaining girls talk about her.
“I feel so bad for little Sarah… she expects so much from that boyfriend and he hasn’t done anything for their anniversary,” says one.
“Yeah, she deserves better,” adds another. They keep smoking.
Chapter 2
At the same time, near Charlie’s house, on the neighborhood avenue, Annie — Charlie’s mother — is walking calmly toward the hair salon. In her head she only has one plan: get her hair done so she can look perfect for the meeting with Charlie’s teacher. Ever since the Marcos incident, Charlie’s performance has improved dramatically; plus he now has a girlfriend. She’s seriously considering asking that he no longer share classes with Charlie so her son’s final high-school year isn’t hell.
She wants to arrive at the meeting looking as good as possible. If she has to talk to the principal to convince him, she will. And if she has to use her beauty to persuade the principal… she will.
When Annie is almost at the salon, completely determined, she suddenly runs into someone she absolutely did not want to see.
“Ohhh ma’am, so nice to see you! Do you me? I’m Marcos, a friend of your son,” says Marcos, greeting Annie with a big smile.
Annie turns pale the instant she sees him. She would have expected anything except running into this boy. Everything he’s saying is a lie. Marcos isn’t happy to see her — at least not for the reasons he pretends. He’s already calculating the perfect moment to take control of the woman.
Meanwhile Annie is internally thinking how to get rid of him. She looks at him and tries to fake kindness, but deep down she doesn’t understand how this kid can think he’s better than anyone. She sees a chubby boy with an awful haircut and an even worse attitude, who suddenly acts nice after everything he did to her son.
“Marcos, what a surprise running into you here. Don’t you live quite far away?” Annie says, trying to figure out what he wants.
“Oh yes ma’am, but I was actually looking for you. I wanted to apologize for the differences I had with your son,” Marcos replies, trying to sound genuinely sorry while keeping up the act.
“Don’t worry, kid. Everything’s settled. The incident is cleared up. Just don’t come near my son again,” Annie says in a ive-aggressive tone that clearly shows her dislike. She tries to continue walking toward the salon.
In his head Marcos thinks: What a fucking bitch. He even mutters it under his breath.
“Did you say something, Marky?” Annie asks after catching the murmur. The question catches Marcos off guard.
“Ah no, nothing ma’am,” he says, faking discomfort.
“Well, kid, I’m leaving.”
Annie enters the salon annoyed after the encounter with Marcos. The boy makes her uncomfortable — even more so now. Because of her anger she isn’t paying attention and ends up bumping into a woman inside.
“Oh sorry, I didn’t see you haha,” Annie says, trying to sound friendly toward the woman she collided with.
The woman turns out to be a very attractive blonde with blue eyes. She doesn’t look local — Russian or from somewhere nearby.
“No problem, darling,” the blonde woman replies in a very soothing, soft Eastern European accent.
“Oksana, you’re up,” says the hairdresser.
“Annie, you too,” says the hairdresser at the station next to her.
Earlier, when Annie walked away from Marcos, Oksana was already waiting inside the salon at the reception. She was dressed casually: light pink blouse, plain white tros, black shoes, and of course the collar around her neck. She had strategically positioned herself to “accidentally” collide with Annie when she came in. She was waiting for the signal from Marcos through the collar — and it came. The collar vibrated, so when she saw Annie enter, she moved and bumped into her.
“Hey, I think I recognize you. Aren’t you Charlie’s mother?” Oksana asks while both of them are having their hair washed.
Annie, completely relaxed by the scalp massage, answers lazily:
“Yes… I am. Hey, I love your accent. Where are you from?”
“Ah, I’m from Ukraine, but I’ve been here for years,” Oksana replies. Both women are relaxed thanks to the massage.
“Hey, are you also the mother of one of the boys?” Annie asks, still chilled out.
“Ah no haha, but I’m the caregiver for a boy in Charlie’s class. His name is Marcos. I’ve heard about their little problem,” Oksana says, following the plan — even though that information immediately sours Annie’s mood.
“Oh… Marcos…” Annie says, clearly annoyed.
“Annie, right? What I want is for you to forgive Marcos. He feels really bad and is very sorry for what happened,” Oksana says in a kind tone, at least for the intentions she’s pretending to have.
Then both women move to another chair to get their hair dried and cut. Normally it’s a longer process, but today Annie is short on time.
“Look, you seem very kind, but Marcos made my son’s life hell. So I don’t think I can forgive him,” Annie says before going quiet and refusing to continue the conversation.
Oksana has a Plan B in case she can’t convince Annie. Right now she carries two identical upgraded chips — improved versions of the one originally used on herself (though she already has one inside her). This new version includes independent voice-command functions that don’t depend on Marcos’s app.
When both women finish at the salon and are at the exit:
“Hey, sorry for what I said earlier, but Marcos really hurt Charlie a lot… and as a mother… well, you understand,” Annie says, trying to be kinder to Oksana. It isn’t her fault what Marcos does.
“Of course I understand, Annie,” Oksana replies with a warm, understanding smile. Her soft accent seems to calm any tension. “And thank you for being honest. I just wanted you to know he isn’t a bad kid deep down… he’s complicated. His parents are never around, and I think he just seeks attention in the worst ways.” She sighs as if carrying a heavy burden. “Sometimes I feel more like his mother than his caregiver.”
Annie nods; her expression softens. Empathy is her weak spot, and Oksana has already noticed it.
“That must be very hard for you,” Annie says.
“It is,” Oksana its. Then her face lights up with what seems like a spontaneous idea. “Hey, I know you’re probably busy, but… would you like to grab a quick coffee? There’s a café right next door. I’d love to talk a bit more, woman to woman. And maybe — if you feel comfortable — I could tell you a few things that might help you understand Marcos better… so you know what you’re dealing with.”
Annie hesitates. She just wants to go home and get ready for the meeting, but Oksana’s sincerity touches her. Besides, a quick coffee won’t hurt.
“Well… okay. A quick coffee,” she accepts with a small smile. “But I can’t stay long — I have a meeting.”
“Promise,” Oksana says, guiding her with a gesture toward the café.
The place is small and cozy, smelling of fresh coffee and pastries. Oksana chooses a table in a somewhat secluded corner for privacy. While the waiter takes their order, Oksana rummages in her bag.
“Thank goodness I brought something for my headache,” she murmurs, pulling out a small box of pills and a bottle of water. “Want one? They’re for migraines but they relax you a bit,” she says, showing Annie a small, hard white pill in her hand.
“Ah, no thank you, I’m fine,” Annie replies politely.
“Come on, one won’t hurt,” Oksana insists kindly, bringing the pill closer. “It’s more for stress than pain, really.”
Annie, not wanting to seem rude, accepts the pill and swallows it with a sip of water Oksana had poured into a paper cup. While Annie swallows, Oksana discreetly places her phone on the table face-down — casually — and with her thumb presses an invisible icon on the screen protector. On Oksana’s neck the collar emits a faint, almost inaudible buzz and a tiny light flashes once.
Annie suddenly feels dizzy. Oksana’s voice becomes distant, as if underwater.
“Are you okay, Annie?” Oksana asks. Her tone has changed — firmer, more controlling. “You look a little pale,” she adds, pretending concern.
“Yes… just a bit of vertigo…” Annie answers. Her words come out slurred. She tries to raise a hand to her forehead but it feels impossibly heavy, as if her arms are made of lead.
“Perfect,” Oksana whispers. She stands with an agility that doesn’t match her previously relaxed demeanor and approaches Annie, who is now completely immobile in her chair, still struggling to move. Her gaze is lost, mouth slightly open.
“Now the fun part,” Oksana says, positioning herself beside Annie.
With precision, Oksana gently brushes Annie’s blonde hair away from her temple, exposing pale skin. From the pocket of her blouse she takes one of the upgraded chips — a small metallic disc the size of a one-euro coin. Without hesitation she presses it firmly against Annie’s temple. The chip adheres instantly, emitting a soft heat as it connects to her brain’s electrical impulses.
Annie doesn’t react. Her eyes remain vacant, now glowing with a purple hue in the iris, fixed on a point on the wall. Her body is present, but her mind, her will, has dissolved into nothingness. One of the improvements of the new chip: total shutdown to prevent resistance.
Oksana returns to her seat, puts the phone away and takes a sip of coffee.
“Welcome to your new life, Annie,” she says quietly, a predator’s smile on her lips. She waits patiently, knowing Marcos won’t be long.
Ten minutes later the café door bell rings. Marcos enters. His eyes scan the room until he finds the corner table: Annie sitting like a wax statue and Oksana smiling triumphantly.
“You did it,” Marcos whispers, walking over, voice trembling with excitement.
“As I promised,” Oksana replies, standing and offering him the seat. “She’s in standby mode. Brain switched off, body functional. You can do whatever you want with her… though I left the settings for you, Master.”
Marcos sits in front of the woman he came to humiliate — his enemy’s mother.
“Oksana, go wait in the car. I’ll come with our ‘friend’,” he orders. Oksana obeys immediately.
He observes Annie: the beauty he hated so much is now a trophy waiting to be claimed. He pulls out his phone, opens the app and creates a new profile. He simply names it Annie.
Chapter 3
A few hours later, Charlie and Claire are walking through a shopping mall. It’s their first official date. Both of them are visibly nervous; neither has ever had a proper date before, and for Charlie it’s his first one ever. They had planned everything with confidence, but now that the moment has arrived, they barely speak. They keep thinking of things to say, but the nerves stop the words from coming out. It feels silly because they’ve known each other for years.
“Hey… a-are you having a good time?” Charlie asks Claire, trying to hide the blush on his face and the slight stammer. It’s the first thing either of them has said in a while. They’ve just been walking around the mall.
Claire answers with a smile. “Yesss haha, it’s weird having a real date, at least a serious one haha, but yeah I’m really good with you,” she says cheerfully, which immediately relaxes Charlie.
After a while they keep walking through the place. The plan for the date is simple: stroll around the mall and then go to the cinema. Nothing too elaborate, but it felt right for them — they’re still friends and didn’t want to overcomplicate things. They look in some shops, try on clothes, give each other opinions, laugh a lot. Little by little they start looking at each other differently.
At one point Claire comes out of the fitting room wearing a tight black dress. Charlie is completely stunned, staring at her as if nothing else exists in the world. To him, she is the most beautiful thing he has ever seen. Her red hair, soft white skin, green eyes and gorgeous face already make anything she wears overwhelming… but seeing her in that dress feels almost divine.
“So… how does it look?” Claire asks, posing a little in front of him after stepping out of the changing room.
Charlie can only sit there in the waiting chair with his mouth open, making unintelligible sounds.
“I’ll take that as a ‘it looks good’ haha,” Claire laughs at his dumbstruck expression.
Charlie finally reacts, stands up and walks over to her.
“You look… incredible,” are the only words he manages, but they say everything — especially combined with the awestruck look on his face.
They end up very close, staring straight into each other’s eyes. One of the shop assistants watches the two lovebirds from afar, sensing the chemistry from meters away.
Until Claire’s alarm goes off — the one she set so they wouldn’t be late for the movie. It breaks the moment. Both blush hard and laugh awkwardly, looking away. Claire hurries back into the fitting room completely red-faced. Charlie stays standing next to the chair, shifting his weight from foot to foot, trying to burn off the nervous energy.
“Did we… almost kiss?” Charlie thinks to himself, still not believing what just happened.
Meanwhile inside the changing room: “He almost kissed me… finallyyy!” Claire whispers to herself with a tiny excited squeal. She still can’t believe it. After so long feeling something for Charlie, it was finally about to become real.
Later they arrive at the cinema entrance. The movie is a romantic comedy — not Charlie’s favorite genre, but one of his favorite actors is in it and he’s curious. Plus Claire really wanted to see it, and that was reason enough.
Charlie had mentally prepared to pay for everything — he thought it was the right thing to do on a date, plus he wanted to impress her. But Claire surprises him by paying for the tickets.
“Ohhh, you’re paying huh? haha,” Charlie teases.
“Obviously haha, I couldn’t let you pay for everything. You’re on popcorn duty, Little Charlie,” she teases back.
They buy a big bucket of popcorn to share and two drinks (Charlie pays for those). Luckily there’s no line. They enter the theater, find their seats, chat and keep joking until the trailers start.
At one point they both reach for popcorn at the same time and accidentally hold hands.
“Oh sorry haha,” Claire says shyly, quickly letting go.
“No, it’s fine haha,” Charlie replies… and then he firmly takes her hand again.
Claire is surprised, but seeing the confident look on his face, she just smiles warmly. They look into each other’s eyes again as the lights dim and the movie begins.
Chapter 4
At the same time, on the athletics track at the high-performance center, Anna is running. Her goal today is to beat her previous personal best of 27.3 seconds. The Olympic qualifying standard is 23.5 seconds, so she and her coach are pushing harder and harder to reach it.
But just as Anna is about to cross the line, Laura overtakes her on the left and wins the heat.
A few minutes later both girls are recovering a few meters behind the finish line.
“Anne, today you’re… slow, huh,” Laura says between heavy breaths while sitting on the track. Anna is lying flat on her back, too exhausted to even reply.
After catching their breath they start chatting. Their coach, Fernando, approaches with his notebook.
“Laura, excellent as always. If you keep this up you’ll make the Olympics. Anna, you’ll have to work harder to catch up to your teammate… but you still have time,” he says, looking at their times.
After another hour of training on the track, Anna slowly gets up, frustrated with her performance, and heads to the locker room. Laura follows in silence — she knows it’s not the moment to talk.
The walk is tense. When they reach the locker room Anna goes straight to her locker and, unable to open it, starts hitting it repeatedly until she breaks down crying. Laura rushes over and hugs her.
“I don’t understand what’s wrong with me, Laura. I’ve been training double and I still can’t catch you,” Anna sobs.
Laura wipes the sweat and tears from Anna’s face.
“You’re putting too much pressure on yourself, Anne. At your pace you’ll clearly make the trials. You just need patience,” she says, then softly kisses her on the lips.
“Just keep pushing. In time you’ll get there. I believe in you, Anne,” Laura whispers while holding her.
Anna looks at her “friend” with affection and returns the kiss — this time ionately.
For months they’ve been secretly trying to build a romantic relationship while competing to see who gets the best scores before the Olympics. Inside the high-performance center they’re the two closest to qualifying.
The competition has turned into something else. All the time spent together — races, shared injuries, recovery sessions their coaches recommended to strengthen team bonding — unexpectedly created a much deeper emotional (and physical) bond.
Anna has always known she likes women. She first talked about it with her sister, then her brother, and finally her mother. She’s had a few girlfriends.
Laura, on the other hand, discovered a lot about herself through Anna. She had never been with a woman before, but she has zero regrets about this experience.
After the ionate kiss, they keep making out intensely. They know no one else will come into this private locker room attached to the track.
Laura starts kissing down Anna’s neck, leaving a visible mark. Anna lets out various moans from the intensity. Then they return to each other’s lips while Laura’s hand slides down to Anna’s crotch, slipping her fingers inside her while they kiss. Both their breathing speeds up — Anna’s much more noticeably. This is exactly what she needed after that frustrating training.
Minutes later their clothes are scattered on the floor. They’re now in the showers, water pouring over them. Laura stands with her back against the wall; Anna is on her knees in front of her, sucking hard on her pussy, making loud wet sounds with her lips.
“Ahhhh yessss, keep going Annaaa, like that babyyyy,” Laura moans loudly while Anna keeps sucking and licking with force.
Later the positions switch. Anna is now on the shower floor while Laura kisses between her legs, eating her out with almost the same intensity, massaging and squeezing Anna’s breasts under the falling water.
After the shower they’re back in the locker room catching their breath and getting dressed. This time with Laura was exactly what Anna needed to lift her spirits.
Once they have their underwear on, they sit on a bench and just hug in silence. No words needed.
Later the coach knocks at the locker-room entrance.
“Girls, time to continue. Back to the track.”
Anna sighs in frustration.
“Anne, love, relax. You don’t have to prove anything right now. Take it easy,” Laura says, gently holding her chin.
Anna looks thoughtful… but inside she’s decided.
“I need to prove I can do it. I can’t fall behind,” she thinks to herself (quiet enough that Laura doesn’t hear).
After this intense moment, both girls leave the locker room.
Chapter 5
A few hours after the encounter between Marcos and Annie, the three of them — Annie, Marcos and Oksana — are at Marcos’s house.
Marcos adjusts the controls for Annie’s collar on his phone. He lowers “morality” and “ethics” to minimum, raises “submission” and “obedience” to maximum, and manually adds: “Intense desire for Marcos”, “Absolute loyalty to Marcos”, “Need to please Marcos”.
Annie sighs. Her eyes lose their conscious spark and take on a glassy look with that purple glow.
“Marcos…” she whispers, her voice now softer and more melodic. “I feel… strange, but… good.”
Marcos looks at her with raw desire.
“Take off your clothes,” he orders, voice shaking with excitement.
Annie obeys instantly. She now wants this. She doesn’t question right or wrong — she just needs to do it. Every time she looks at Marcos her pussy gets wetter and wetter, almost dripping just from his gaze. She desperately wants him.
She unbuttons her blouse, then her bra, freeing breasts that still defy gravity. Her hands move down, undoing her jeans and sliding them off along with her panties, revealing neatly trimmed blonde pubic hair. When she’s completely naked she lets out a soft moan.
Marcos quickly pulls down his pants.
“Now suck it,” he orders, already holding his erect cock.
The moment Annie sees it she feels a desire she’s never experienced. Her mouth opens slightly, she sighs, and she drops to her knees on the living-room floor. She takes him in her mouth desperately. Her technique is sloppy — like a bitch in heat — wild and completely obedient. Marcos watches, savoring the power he has over his enemy’s mother.
After Marcos finally cums down her throat, he pulls out. Annie sticks her tongue out proudly. He slaps his cock against it a few times, still hard, desire growing.
“This isn’t enough,” he thinks. “I want to own her completely.”
Annie is in ecstasy. Every time she obeys she feels waves of pleasure. If this continues she might cum just from obeying.
“Stand up and sit on me. Put my cock inside you,” Marcos orders, lying back on the couch.
Annie climbs on top, guiding his cock into her already soaked pussy. She starts riding him with frantic rhythm, hips moving like a porn star — incredibly stimulating. It’s nothing like what he felt with Oksana. Annie is extraordinary.
Marcos watches her breasts bounce with every thrust, her face showing pure bliss. She’s having the best sex of her life.
He glances at Oksana, who’s standing to the side masturbating furiously while watching. She has the same purple eyes as Annie — an effect of the upgraded chip, Marcos assumes. She feels intense pleasure from successfully completing her master’s order, and seeing him enjoy his new acquisition turns her on even more.
“Oksana, come here. You deserve to enjoy too. Let me make an adjustment,” Marcos says.
He opens the app. Oksana watches expectantly.
Marcos adds a new personality layer: “dominant”, plus traits “bisexual”, “dominate women”. He hits accept.
Oksana blinks rapidly, refocuses, and her gaze locks onto Annie — who is still screaming, moaning and bouncing on Marcos’s cock. Suddenly she feels an overwhelming need to take Annie, dominate her, humiliate her.
She stops touching herself and walks over. Marcos watches curiously, eager to see his little experiment in action.
While Annie keeps riding in bliss, Oksana grabs her by the hair hard.
“Heyyy!” Annie cries, confused.
“Listen, bitch,” Oksana says in a commanding tone. “Your place in this house is as the pet dog and bitch. You obey my Master, and — if he decides — you obey me too. Understood?”
Annie looks at her in fear.
“Marcos… what does she mean?” she asks, scared and confused.
Marcos sighs. This was always the plan, but he was focused on Annie for the moment. He lifts Annie off his cock and sets her aside.
“Ahhh… everything Oksana said is true. Your place here will be as the house pet and bitch. You will obey Oksana just as much as you obey me.”
Annie looks terrified. When she turns toward Oksana, the Ukrainian grabs her head firmly and kisses her ionately. It’s the first time either has kissed a woman — but both enjoy it, though for very different reasons.
Right now Annie is living the kiss like never before. Since Marcos ordered her to obey this woman she met just hours ago, she trusts Oksana as much as she trusts him — even if she doesn’t understand why. She’s simply enjoying everything without questioning. And if Marcos wants her to be a “bitch” or “pet”… she will enjoy every second of it.
After the long kiss ends, Oksana starts biting Annie’s body — not tenderly, but hard. She leaves marks all over, especially on her nipples, making Annie scream softly and moan repeatedly.
“Now eat my pussy, bitch,” Oksana orders, ignoring how Annie feels after the bites. She just wants her pet to give her pleasure.
Annie feels the urge to obey. She’s never eaten pussy before but she has an idea. She approaches Oksana’s shaved crotch (a standing order from Marcos) and starts licking softly along the lips, giving Oksana a light wave of pleasure.
But it isn’t enough. Oksana pushes her away.
“Bitch, don’t you know how to eat pussy or what? You’d better do it properly,” she snaps angrily.
Annie carefully tries again.
Marcos just watches in awe at how far the collar and chip have taken both women.
Later, after both Oksana and Marcos have thoroughly used Annie’s body — and Annie has enjoyed it just as much — Annie lies on the floor taking a light nap (induced by Marcos via the collar).
Marcos and Oksana, both naked on the couch, look down at her sleeping.
“So… are you going to do the plan with all the others too?” Oksana asks, waiting for his reaction.
“Yes. She proved it works perfectly. We can move forward calmly now. With this, Charlie will pay,” Marcos says, staring intensely at Annie. He already has every detail of his revenge planned.
He picks up his phone and wakes Annie. She instantly sits up, eyes forward — not looking at him.
“Bitch, wake up. I’m going to explain what you’re going to do,” Marcos tells her.
Chapter 6
Sarah is waiting for her boyfriend David at the entrance of the restaurant he chose for their anniversary. She’s wearing a navy-blue dress that hugs her figure and highlights her eyes. She spent the whole afternoon getting ready, full of excitement. She checks her watch for the fifth time in ten minutes — nervous but still smiling in anticipation.
Finally David comes running down the street, hair messy, jacket crooked.
“Sarah! Sorry, sorry, sorry! The traffic was awful and…” he starts while hugging her quickly.
“It’s okay, love, you’re here now,” she says, though she notices something off. “Everything alright? You seem… agitated.”
“Yes, yes, everything perfect! Everything is calculated for our night,” David replies, trying to brush it off with a smile that feels forced to Sarah.
They go inside, but the mood shifts fast when the waiter tells them:
“I’m very sorry, but we have no table available under your name. Are you sure you made a reservation?”
Sarah looks at David, confused.
“You didn’t make the reservation, love? You told me you had everything organized…”
David goes pale.
“Ah… yes, of course I did. There must be a mistake. Let me talk to the mAnnager,” he says, hurrying to the front desk and leaving Sarah alone in the middle of the busy restaurant.
Ten minutes later he comes back looking grim.
“No table, honey. Looks like they lost the reservation. What do you think — should we look for another place?”
Sarah nods, though her excitement has dropped sharply. They try three more restaurants — all full. Frustration builds. Sarah notices David avoids eye .
Finally they find a small Italian place with one free table. Romantic atmosphere, candles, soft music… but the tension between them is thick.
“David,” Sarah says, staring at the menu without really reading it, “are you sure you made the reservation at the first place?”
He stops looking at his menu and meets her eyes — a bit defensive.
“Of course I did! Why would you doubt that?”
“It’s just… you’ve been acting weird all night, and it’s our anniversary, David. One year. I was expecting something… special.”
David swallows hard. Sarah knows instantly something is very wrong.
“Honey, there’s something I have to tell you…” he says, voice catching.
“What?” she asks, heart sinking.
“I… I forgot today was our anniversary,” he confesses, not daring to look at her. “I only ed this afternoon when you called to ask what time I’d pick you up. That’s why I was so agitated and hadn’t made any reservation.”
Sarah feels like she’s been stabbed. His words echo while other couples laugh around them.
“You forgot? You forgot our anniversary?” she repeats in a whisper.
“I’m sorry, Sarah, really. I’ve been an idiot, but we can celebrate right now, here—”
“No,” she cuts him off, standing up. “There’s nothing to celebrate.” Tears start forming but she refuses to cry in front of him. “One year, David. A whole fucking year waiting for something special, and you didn’t even .”
David reaches for her hand. “Sarah, please…”
She pulls away.
“No,” she says, grabbing her purse. “I don’t want to hear anything else. I need to leave.”
She walks out without looking back, tears already streaming down her cheeks. She wanders the streets aimlessly, heart broken and humiliated after getting so dressed up for nothing.
When she gets home she struggles to open the door through her sobs. Charlie is in the living room watching TV. He turns around and sees Sarah come in.
“Sarah? What’s wrong? Why are you crying?” he asks, jumping up and rushing to her.
Sarah can’t hold it anymore and breaks down completely in her brother’s arms.
“David… he forgot our anniversary,” she mAnnages between sobs.
Charlie hugs her tightly, rage growing toward her boyfriend.
“That asshole… how can someone forget something like that?”
“And the worst part is he tried to lie to me, make me believe he had everything planned when he only ed this afternoon,” Sarah cries. Charlie guides her to the couch.
“It’s okay, little sister, it’s okay,” he soothes, sitting beside her and putting an arm around her shoulders. “You deserve someone who really values you, who re the important things.”
Sarah leans into him, finding comfort.
“Am I stupid for expecting so much from him?” she asks, eyes still wet.
“No. You’re someone who loves honestly and expects the same in return,” Charlie answers sincerely. “The problem isn’t you — it’s him.”
They stay like that in silence for a while until Sarah calms down. Charlie brings her a glass of water and sits again.
“Thanks, Little Charlie,” she says with a small smile. “You always know how to make me feel better.”
“That’s what brothers are for,” he replies, cracking his knuckles. “Though if you want, tomorrow I can ‘accidentally’ run into David at school and ‘remind’ him how special you are.”
Sarah laughs despite her red eyes.
“No thanks, I’ll handle talking to him. Right now I just want to forget everything and watch a dumb movie with you.”
“Deal,” Charlie says happily, glad to distract her.
While they search Netflix, Sarah feels grateful to have someone like Charlie in her life — someone who will always be there.
Just then Anna comes out of her room.
“Little sister? What the hell happened?” she asks, seeing Sarah sad next to Charlie.
Before Sarah can answer, Charlie jumps in:
“That idiot David forgot their anniversary and tried to lie about it.”
“¡That bastard! I told you, sis — all men are the same,” Anna says furiously.
Sarah can’t help but give a weak laugh.
“Thanks, sis. Always so positive,” she says sarcastically.
“Monday in class I’m gonna kill him. Nobody hurts my sis,” Anna declares.
“No, neither of you. Let me handle this alone,” Sarah says, wrapping herself in a blanket, annoyed and pouty. Charlie hugs her again.
“Well, at least I’ll you by watching this awful movie,” Anna says, sitting down and playfully shoving her siblings.
While the three siblings talk more calmly, laughing and joking as the movie plays, the front door opens.
Annie walks in wearing the collar Marcos gave her. A faint purple glow flickers in her eyes — less intense than before, but still there.
