The Ripple Effect

Chapter 3: The Walk to Class

Sarah leaned down and kissed him again, slow and deep, tongue sliding lazily against his. When she finally pulled back, she rested her forehead against his, breathing him in.

“I feel… different,” she confessed softly, almost dreamily. “Like I’ve been waiting my whole life to feel this wanted. This wet. This owned.” She rolled her hips once more, a gentle, possessive grind that made her breath hitch. “I don’t even care that we’re in the middle of the day. I just want you again already.”

The headache was gone, but something heavier had taken its place: the cold, crystal-clear knowledge that Sarah Yim no longer existed as she once had. This version—leather-clad, dripping, shamelessly addicted to his touch—was the only Sarah left. And she was looking at him like he was the center of her universe.

“Shit…we have Psych 302 in twenty minutes. I can’t miss it.” She bit her lip, eyes still dark with residual lust as she slowly lifted herself off him.

She bent to retrieve the discarded leather skirt from the floor, the corset still tightly laced around her torso, breasts heaving with every movement. The short leather skirt was even more obscene now—half-unzipped from earlier, the side slit gaping wide. She stepped into it anyway, sliding the supple material up her legs with deliberate slowness, watching his face the entire time. The leather hugged the curve of her ass like a second skin; she left the zipper only halfway up, letting the slit reveal a long, bare expanse of thigh

The corset stayed exactly as it was—boning cinched tight, breasts pushed up and spilling over the top, nipples still visibly hard beneath the glossy black. She gave the laces a playful tug, making her cleavage deepen, then turned in a slow circle so he could see the full effect. She slipped her feet back into the boots properly, zipped them higher, then leaned down and kissed him once more—deep, possessive, tongue sliding against his like a promise.

Declan let out a short, disbelieving breath, eyes flicking over her outfit again. “You’re really going to walk out there dressed like that?”

Sarah glanced down at herself, then back up at him with a small, confident smile. She gave a subtle shrug, like it wasn’t a big deal—like he was the one making it one. “Yeah,” she said simply. “I like it.”

She stepped closer, fingers brushing lightly against his chest, her voice soft but steady. “And now that I know you like me too…” She tilted her head, eyes holding his. “It just feels right.”

She grabbed her bag, slung it over one shoulder, and paused at the door, one hand on the frame. The corset pushed her breasts forward, the short leather skirt rode high enough that anyone behind her on the stairs would get a full view of her bare ass and the slick evidence of what they’d just done.

“Walk me to class?” she asked, eyes sparkling with fresh heat. “Or stay here and think about what you’re going to do to me when I get back. Your choice.”

Declan huffed a quiet laugh, running a hand through his hair as he pushed himself up. “I’ll go too.” He grabbed his shirt, glancing back at her with a crooked smile. “Major requirement. And honestly… my favorite.”

“So,” she said as she adjusted the laces, fingers lingering at her waist, “I have, like, an entire closet full of outfits like this. Stuff I’ve been collecting for months.”

She glanced back at him over her shoulder, and for a moment the confidence softened. There was something almost shy in her expression now—an uncertainty that didn’t quite match the boldness of everything else. “I was thinking… if you wanted… I could model them for you. At your place, maybe? Or mine, but my roommate’s usually here, and she’s kind of judgmental about—” She waved a hand, searching for the right word. “About all this.”

She turned fully to face him once the corset was set, smoothing her hands down her sides like she was grounding herself again. The hesitation didn’t disappear, but it shifted—less doubt, more anticipation.

“I have this red vinyl dress,” she continued, a small smile tugging at her lips. “It’s so tight I can barely move in it. And there’s a schoolgirl thing—skirt, tie, the whole deal—that I thought might be too much, but now…”

Her eyes lifted to his, steady and searching, like she was waiting for permission and already halfway past needing it.

“Now I think you’d like it,” she said quietly. “I think you’d really like it.”

Declan studied her for a second. “That’s…” He exhaled a soft laugh, shaking his head once. “Yeah. I would.”

He stepped closer, not touching her yet, but close enough that the space between them felt deliberate. “But only if it’s actually something you want. Not just—” He gestured vaguely between them. “Not just because of… this.”

Her expression changed at that—something steadier settling in. She closed the gap herself this time, fingers brushing his wrist.

“I’ve wanted to,” she said. “I just didn’t know you wanted it too.”

A beat.

“Now I do.”

For a moment, neither of them moved.

Then she pulled back just enough to grab her bag again, slinging it over her shoulder like she hadn’t just said something quietly significant.

“Come on,” she said, a hint of that earlier spark returning. “If we’re both going to Psych 302, we’re already pushing it.”

She paused at the door, glancing back at him with a small, knowing smile.

“And you can think about the red dress on the way.”

Sarah walked beside him to class an awareness between them now. Every brush of proximity felt intentional, every glance loaded with something unspoken. About halfway down the path to the academic building, she let out a small breath and shook her head, almost amused.

“We should sit separately,” she said, like she was stating something obvious. “Like we normally do.”

Declan glanced over at her. “Yeah,” he agreed after a second. “Probably a good idea.”

She nodded, adjusting the strap of her bag on her shoulder, slipping a little more fully back into her usual rhythm. “Last thing I need is people asking questions.”

A faint smirk tugged at her lips as she looked ahead. “Or noticing anything… different.”

“Right. Wouldn’t want to ruin your reputation.”

“Good.”

She moved close again, rising onto her toes to press a light, quick kiss to his lips—so brief it almost felt like a test rather than a goodbye. “Because I want to do this again. Soon. Maybe tonight?” Her voice dipped slightly, threaded with anticipation. “I could come to your room after dinner. Bring some of those outfits I was telling you about. We could make a whole evening of it.”

“I’d like that,” he said.

“Tonight,” he added. “What time works for you?”

Sarah’s face lit up instantly, the shift almost startling—pure, uncomplicated excitement. “Eight?” she said. “I have my seminar until six, and then I need to shower, change, and figure out what to bring.” She was already half somewhere else, mentally flipping through options. “God, I’m going to be completely useless in that seminar. I won’t be able to think about anything else.”

Declan huffed a quiet laugh. “Yeah… I get that.”

She moved toward the door, unlocking it with a soft click. Before opening it, she paused, turning back to him with a sudden, practical realization.

“Wait—where’s your room? I just realized I don’t actually know.”

“Warren Hall,” he said. “Third floor. Room 314.”

“Warren. Okay.” She nodded, repeating it under her breath. “314.”

“Should I text you when I’m on my way?” she asked, already reaching for her phone. “Do you have my number?”

He hesitated for half a second. “No. Not yet.”

She grinned, stepping closer again as she recited it, watching him type. When he finished, she leaned in, glancing at the screen.

“Just ‘Sarah’?” she teased. “That’s boring.”

“What do you want, then?”

“Add a heart,” she said, like it was obvious. “Or something. So you know it’s me.”

He did, the small icon appearing next to her name. She smiled, satisfied.

“Perfect.”

She stepped in one last time, brushing a quick kiss against his lips—familiar already, like they’d done it a hundred times instead of a handful.

“Tonight,” she murmured. “Eight. Don’t forget.”

He hesitated. Not long, but Sarah still noticed it.

“I won’t.”

“I know,” she said, choosing to ignore the earlier pause.

Then she was gone.

Declan lingered outside.

One second.

Two.

Three.

Just enough time.

Then he pushed the door open and followed.

The door closed behind him with a soft click.

For a moment, he had the distinct sense that something had just finalized.
