“The Retcon”
by New Before Old
11 — Lady Qigong (Qufu, China, 530 B.C.)
Qigong sat on the mat, breastfeeding her baby. In her family growing up, she had been considered a great beauty. She was barely older now, still her early twenties, but between her marriage and her son, she did not feel particularly beautiful. Her husband was often away, and the baby took up much of her time.
The last time she and Kong had spoken, three weeks ago, they had fought. Or she had fought with him and he had listened. He always kept a remarkably even keel, but that wasn’t because he was weak. He was almost impossible to move, she had found, like a stone. She had not married him for him to become a traveling teacher, leaving her home alone with the baby, she said. But he could not change his work, he told her, and she could hardly come with him, given the baby and the rigors of life on the road. He could get a job as a bureaucrat, she told him. He had been born into the shi, the warrior/scholar class, like her, and educated. He would likely be able to find steady work, given her father’s connections. Perhaps even an appointment as a Governor of a town, or some other such position. But he wouldn’t hear of it.
Kong saw the chaos in the land and thought it was because the bonds of fealty that had bound together the Zhou Kingdom and its allies and vassals had broken down. Qigong did not disagree with his assessment, but she found surprising and troubling the extent that Kong threw himself into the seemingly futile solution of remedying the situation one student at a time. He was still in his twenties and already had his disciples, it was true, but without the ear of the truly powerful, it felt like her husband had set himself the task of bailing the water out of a boat filled with holes.
As she was putting her baby back in his creche, she heard a knock at her door. Quickly, she buttoned up her cheongsam dress before moving to answer it. She often left it undone when she was by herself these days, but for company she needed to at least be presentable. Not that she had been expecting any kind of guests. She went through the various possible tradesmen it might be in her head, wondering if she had forgotten something she had purchased from one or the other.
When she opened the door, she raised her eyebrows in surprise. He was a laowai, a foreigner, and his appearance and dress were very strange.
“I…greetings.” She bowed her head slightly. “Welcome, guest. May I ask, are you lost?” She felt around behind the door for the large staff she kept there. A lone foreigner she didn’t recognize, with her here all alone...it was not a good situation. But proprieties must be observed, until he showed his intentions.
“I’m looking for the wife of Master Kong,” the man said, in perfect Mandarin. He looked her up and down in a way that felt somehow predatory, and Qigong shifted uncomfortably. “Is she here?”
She looked over her shoulder, back toward her child, then stepped forward, closing the door behind her. “May we speak out here?” she asked. “The baby’s asleep.”
“Of course,” the man said. “You know, people don’t change, no matter when or where you go.”
“I… guess not,” Qigong agreed, confused. “I… I’m Master Kong’s wife. Lady Qigong.” She bowed her head slightly again.
“Oh yeah,” the man said, looking her up and down again. “You’ll do.”
Then he raised a strange object and a light shined in Qigong’s eyes. She forgot what happened after that.
When she came to, she was sitting on a stool on the walk outside her house, the stranger next to her, his arm around her shoulder. It should have made her a little uncomfortable, but the feel of him so close to her brought up feelings she did not immediately understand.
“I… what happened?” she asked.
“You just fainted,” the man told her. “It must be the lack of sleep, I know how it can be with a child.”
This was incredibly embarrassing. She was not so far gone that she was simply falling over in her garden, was she? The man rubbed her back in an apparent attempt to comfort her. He was certainly being overly familiar, but for whatever reason, she did not want it to stop. And Kong was not here, after all, she thought. He could not leave his beautiful wife alone for weeks on end without thinking that she would never even look at another man.
“I know I’m a stranger here,” he said, “but I noticed you’re wearing a dress in the presence of a man. Have I insulted you in some way?”
Qigong blinked as she stood up in her garden. How could she so dishonor him as to have worn clothes in front of him? Had her husband been gone so long that she had completely forgotten her manners?
“I apologize, sir, I don’t know what I was thinking,” she said quickly. She immediately began to work the clasps on her cheongsam, then threw it down on the ground in her garden. She pulled off her undergarments, as well, then stood in her garden, completely nude, her swollen breasts and her pussy fully exposed.
The man looked Qigong up and down once again, but this time all she felt was her cunt moistening at his eyes taking her in. He stood and walked around her, looking at her body from every angle. Then he reached and grabbed her right breast, immediately running a finger over her engorged nipple. Ecstasy twinged in her, but she knew it was wrong.
“Sir, I remind you—” she began.
“Relax,” the stranger said. “It is completely normal for guests to grope their hosts’ tits. Isn’t it?”
“I…” she trailed off. Obviously he was right. “I apologize, I’ve been very tired,” she said. “Of course. Your knowledge of our customs is great, for a…”
“A foreigner?” he asked. “Does that excite you? Do you imagine what it would be like to lie with a stranger whose name you don’t even know?”
Her breath caught. Of course she had those fantasies, but she couldn’t it it to him. No matter how good his touch felt. “Y-you are my guest, sir,” she said, desperately trying to get her breathing under control. “Please, you asked for me. Why? I do not know you.”
“Before we discuss it,” the man said, “I hate to ask, since I know you’re exhausted, but would you suck my cock for me? It’s a totally normal request from a guest, right?
She hesitated for a moment, because something about it seemed wrong, somehow. But on the other hand, Kong wouldn’t have wanted her to make such an egregious breach of decorum. She gestured toward her door. “Yes, please come inside and I would be happy to.”
He shook his head. “I think it’s really nice out here, actually. Is that OK?”
Qigong glanced toward the end of her front walk, where it met the main road. “Sir, someone might see, I cannot—”
“All anyone will see is a dutiful wife fulfilling her obligations to an honored guest,” he interrupted. “Isn’t that right?”
She couldn’t help looking down at the stranger’s crotch. She saw the bulge there and felt her own juices start to run down her inner thigh.
“Yes, you’re right,” she said. She got down on her knees in her garden, and he pulled down his pants to reveal his cock. She gasped. It was perfect.
Qigong tentatively wrapped a hand around it and kissed the tip. She looked up at her guest. “I apologize, sir,” she said, “for my inexperience in this area. We rarely receive guests, and my husband has not asked me to serve him in this way.”
The stranger smiled at her predatorily, grabbed her by her hair, and forced his cock into her mouth. She gagged for a moment before he pulled her head back.
“That’s OK, cunt,” he said. “We’ve got plenty of time to train you before your husband gets back.”
When Master Kong arrived back at his home in Qufu after his most recent journey, the thought had occurred to him that his wife might have missed him. He had been reluctant to leave her so soon after the birth of their son, but if he didn’t continue his work, the kingdom would continue sliding further and further into disorder, and this he could not abide. What he was not expecting was to find Qigong waiting for him just inside the gate to his home on her knees, completely naked, in full view of the road. He had to it, she looked very good, better than he ed, a surprising fact given that she had been caring for their son on her own.
“Hello, Qigong,” he said, keeping his voice neutral. “I am glad to see you.”
“Hello, Sir,” she replied, keeping her eyes pointed down.
Kong reached down and gently took his wife’s chin, bringing her eyes up to him. “Qigong, why are you waiting at the road without clothes? Was there a fire while I was gone, destroying all your garments? What if another man had seen you?”
“That is several questions, Sir,” she replied softly. “Wouldn’t you onish one of your disciples who questioned you this way?”
He smiled at her. That was what the woman he married would have said. “True enough. But let’s go inside, yes?”
Qigong nodded and allowed him to help her to her feet. They went inside and she immediately led him to their son. The child had grown remarkably in the past few weeks. Kong held the baby for a minute, then turned around to find his wife again kneeling behind him on the mats that covered the floor of their home, waiting patiently.
“To answer your questions, Sir,” she said. “I have decided no longer to wear clothes in the presence of men. It is a sign of the fealty a woman owes to a man. Several men likely saw me by the road as they ed. None approached, sadly.”
Kong regarded her silently for several moments, holding his son. Her beauty was as incomparable as it had been on their wedding night. Her olive skin, her perfect breasts, her welcoming eyes…
“I do not fully understand,” he said, as he placed his son back in his creche. “A wife owes a duty to a husband, and a husband owes a duty to a wife. But it has always been so, and you haven’t… done this before.”
“Do you not say that one must constantly strive for virtue?” Qigong asked him. “The last time we spoke, we fought. I was unhappy, you could see that. I have had plenty of time to think , about the world, about your work while I waited for you. And what I have found has driven all that doubt and unhappiness away. But…” She smiled slyly at him. “I think perhaps that can wait, hmm?”
Kong watched as she moved her hand to her cunt. It glistened in the low light of the interior of their home. She pushed two fingers inside of herself, then brought them to her mouth and sucked off her juices, slowly. “Will you me at the bed, Sir? Your days away have been long, and my nights have been cold.”
She stood and offered him her hand. He took it, and she led him away.
A few minutes later, he sat on the bed while she expertly rode his cock. They had used this position before, but Qigong had never demonstrated the sorts of skills she now used on him. She rode him slowly, expertly, drawing the longing from him and keeping him on the edge of ecstasy seemingly forever. He cupped her supple breast in one hand, and she smiled at him.
Then she pulled herself to him, though she continued to tease him endlessly with her pussy. “I have thought, Sir,” she purred in his ear. “You seek to preserve our culture, to restore the Mandate of Heaven. I think I can help.”
“H-how?” he barely managed.
“You seek to preserve the ways of the past, but this is impossible,” she whispered, “just as it is impossible for a moth to return to its form as a silkworm. Our ways must be improved.”
The feelings in his loins right now overwhelmed all else, but he became dimly aware then that something was different in him. His thoughts blurred with lust, but he could hear Qigong’s whispers as if in his soul. She took his earlobe between his teeth and bit him lightly.
“You speak of filial obligations, but you neglect the greatest of all obligations, that of a woman to a man,” she poured into his ear. “If this obligation is fulfilled, no woman will be unhappy. And if no woman is unhappy, no man is unhappy. The way will be long, and hard, like your cock, but it can be traveled. The man who moves a mountain begins by carrying away small stones. Will you help me?”
Slowly, Kong turned his head to look at Qigong’s face. She smiled at him, keeping her hips moving at exactly the right speed. He tried for several moments to find the right words, but they would not come.
Then he said, “Y-yes.”
“Good boy,” she said. “Now, Sir, please, flip me over and fuck me.”
He did so, and a few seconds later he was pounding Qigong’s pussy with all his might. “Please Sir, fill me up,” she groaned. “Fuck, fill me up with your fucking cock. Fuck!”
Then language fled them both, and they both screamed and came together. He collapsed on her, his breaths coming in gasps.
Then they both heard the cries of their son, and strangely, Qigong laughed. “Must be from all the noise,” she said. “I will get him, you rest.”
She walked back over to the creche, her buttocks swaying pleasingly as she left, and a few moments later, the child’s screams quieted. Then Qigong came back into the room, holding the baby in her arms.
“When last I was in the village,” she said casually, “I saw Aihua, the innkeeper’s daughter. She is much grown, in beauty and in years. I think she may be of marrying age.”
Kong blinked at her, his mind still numb.
“What I mean to say, Sir, is that perhaps you might wish to marry her.”
“I… Qigong, we are already married.”
“So?” she asked, rocking their son against her bare breasts. “The King of Zhou has concubines, as do other nobles. But what of other men of virtue? A scholar, like yourself? You must always be on the road. What if I were to come and service you as you traveled, and another wife remained here with the child? Would that not allow all of us to far better fulfill our familial obligations?”
Kong stared at her, and said nothing. She smiled, “It is not important, you need not decide now.”
She reached down then with one hand and pressed a small button on a device secured to the underside of a table, out of her husband’s sight. A tiny electronic light on the device flicked off.
Kong shook his head, his thoughts returning to full speed.
“Would you like dinner, Sir?” Qigong said. “I think the basi digua is nearly done.”
“My favorite,” he told her with a smile.
In the upper corner of the room, half-hidden behind a pot, sat another small device unnoticed by Kong. Had he noticed it, he would not have had any idea what it was.
Dr. Tempus sat in his room at the local inn, watching the feed from Kong and Qigong’s house on his laptop. It had been quite the show, though he had to remind himself his real reason for watching was to monitor how his creation performed. And she had done so beautifully.
He had, for the first time in this whole escapade, allowed another to use one of his devices, a small speaker playing the Earworm to help her words sink in for her husband. He had trained Qigong such that she would turn it on and off without even realizing she was doing so. She wouldn’t see it even if she looked directly at it.
He had considered simply controlling Master Kong, or, as the later Latin speakers of the West would eventually dub him, Confucius, himself and tell him what his new philosophy was going to be, but honestly it didn’t seem like all that much fun. Instead, he had taken the man’s wife, the Lady Qigong, and shaped her to his will. Now she would relentlessly train her husband in the true role of women, just as Dr. Tempus had relentlessly trained her. And if all went as he hoped, in doing so she would cause billions of her fellow women to live out their lives in happy servitude.
King and Emperors came and went, the Great Wall would fail to keep out various invaders, but China would continue to be influenced by its great sage Confucius, his backing claimed by all for their own purposes over the millenia. Then the great Middle Kingdom would its philosophy and culture in many ways onto its smaller neighbors. Dr. Tempus was under no illusion that this latest little adventure was a cure-all, he had dealt with the apparent elasticity of the timeline many times already, but who knows? And he’d definitely had a great time.
He turned his attention from the video feed of the naked Qigong serving her husband dinner back towards the bed of his small room, where Aihua, the pretty innkeeper’s daughter, waited quietly for him. It hadn’t taken a huge amount of prodding for her father to practically throw her at the apparently wealthy laowai, which made The Professor think it wouldn’t take too much persuasion for him to allow the upstanding Kong to take her as a second wife. And in the meantime, maybe he would take a few days to teach Aihua how to make Kong or any other future husband very, very happy.
