A Priest in Her Service

CHAPTER 17

Derek sat in Dr. Hickman’s office, feeling a little nervous. She had arranged for the bulk of his payment today, and scheduled two patients that she said met his needs. Trying to help people with problems was his idea, but now that he was actually about to do it, he wasn’t so sure it was a very good idea. Rowan was trying to reassure him.

“I chose patients to try this on carefully,” she said. “They are people who are actually doing pretty well in the world, they just need somebody to talk to so they can sort things out. It won’t be much different from any of the other people you’ve met who you’ve helped become more open and relaxed. I’ve told them that I have a colleague that provides a different kind of therapy that I recommend they try, and scheduled two people for you to meet today. I’m sure you can take care of the rest.”

She set him up in her spare office, unoccupied since her partner retired a year ago. It was still mostly furnished, with a couch, two comfortable chairs, and a desk and office chair, but there was no computer, no books on the shelves, and the art and decoration were sparse.

Derek asked for a briefing on the first patient, but Rowan simply said, “Just ask her to fill you in on what we’ve been talking about. You’ll figure out what I think you can do.”

Claire showed the woman in, and closed the door with a knowing look. Derek barely noticed it, his attention on the woman before him. She was beautiful, with red hair up in a bun and pale skin. She was perhaps 35 to 40 years old, but her figure was still excellent and the hints of maturity in her face and form only served to increase her attractiveness. She was dressed in business attire, in a skirt and jacket, and wore tasteful makeup. She sat down on the couch, and Derek took the comfortable chair nearest the desk. She introduced herself as Vivian.

“Dr. Hickman said I should talk to you, but she didn’t really say what it is you do,” she said after introductions.

“Well, I’m not a psychologist, therapist, or counselor, but if you’re willing, we can talk about what is bothering you and I might be able to help,” Derek replied. Of course, he could, and did, ensure that she was willing to talk.

They spoke for a few minutes about her life and work, with it’s hitches and minor frustrations, but Derek could tell that they weren’t getting to the heart of matters, so he reached out mentally and pushed Vivian to open up about what was most troubling her.

She paused, still torn, but Derek’s influence overwhelmed her reticence in short order. “I told you that I’m divorced,” she said.

“Yes, you did,” Derek confirmed.

“Well, since then, I’ve been dating again. Something I haven’t done since I was 22. And...” she trailed off.

“And what, Vivian? Surely you aren’t finding it difficult to attract men. You are a beautiful woman,” Derek said.

“No, it’s not that. It’s...” she blushed, then continued “It’s the sex.”

Ah, thought Derek. This is why Rowan thinks this one will be easy. “What about the sex?” he asked.

“It just seems so empty. I don’t know how to feel an emotional connection with anyone else. I found it once, but I can’t seem to find it again.”

“Do you have difficulty reaching orgasm?” Derek asked.

Vivian was becoming more at ease in their conversation. “No, it’s not that,” she said, “I’m enjoying the sex physically. I just don’t know how to make it mean anything more, or how to find someone with whom it will mean something more, or something. I don’t even know what to call what it is that I don’t have.”

Derek thought a moment, then spoke. “OK,” he said. “I think I can help you.”

“How?”

“Let’s do a little roleplaying, so I can show you. Pretend I am a man you are interested in, and we’ll act out the scene.”

Vivian chuckled nervously, then cleared her throat. Derek could see that his influence was working on her, and she was distracted by the thought that she was actually interested in him, and being asked to pretend to be so. Finally, she began. “So,” she said, “Do you come here often?”

“Sorry, not that part. We’ve established that you are comfortable finding dates. I meant, we should roleplay a scene from later on.”

“What part,” Vivian replied, flushing a little, “do you want to cover?”

In response, Derek stood up and walked over to Vivian, mentally pushing her into a state of dreamy arousal. “I had a really great time tonight,” he said, sitting next to her. “Thanks for inviting me in. What do you want to do now?”

“I don’t think this is—” she began, but Derek silenced her with a hand on her leg, just below her skirt. For just a moment, she was totally focused on the feeling of his fingers on her stockinged leg. When Derek leaned in to kiss her, there was only a moment’s hesitation before she gave in and kissed him back.

Derek played no games, imposed no dominance, and didn’t use his powers for anything weird. He just made Vivian utterly receptive to a world-changing fuck, then gave it to her. They kissed for several minutes, gradually shedding their clothing and roaming their hands to more and more intimate areas. Derek found that Vivian was as beautiful undressed as she was dressed.

Soon, Derek was thrusting in between Vivian’s legs in a gentle rhythm. She was largely silent, her heavy breathing punctuated by short gasps. Her eyes were vague and unfocused. Her gasping slowly shifted to become cries of pleasure that tested the quality of the soundproofing in the office, and as she reached her crescendo, Derek spent himself into her.

They slumped together on the couch, still naked, snuggled next to each other. Gradually, awareness returned to Vivian’s features. She looked around furtively for her scattered clothes, but Derek soothed her with a gentle caress of her chin.

“So,” he said, “If you need the sex to mean more than THAT, I don’t know if I can help you.”

“I don’t know if I could survive sex that meant more than that,” Vivian responded, matter-of-factly. “But, wasn’t that just—”

“Nope,” he answered. “Every time can be like that, if you let it.”

“Wow. I don’t know where Dr. Hickman found you, but I can’t thank you enough.” She nuzzled against him.

“You can thank me by trying it out. Find someone tonight.”

“You don’t have to tell me twice. But for right now, can we just stay here?”

“Sure.”

Eventually, Derek realized that his allotted time with Vivian was running out, and they made themselves decent and emerged from the office. Rowan and Clarice were both in the outer office. A knowing look between the three of them was a sufficient report on events in the office, plus, it should have been obvious what he was going to do from the beginning.

Once Vivian had left, Derek asked Rowan, “So who is next?”

“Sarah. She’s a college student, home for the summer. I’ve been seeing her since she was 14. She’s struggling with a new stepmother, and issues fitting in at school.”

“I’m sure I can help her.”

There were sounds of an argument in the hallway, growing closer. By the time the door opened, however, it had stopped, but clearly in the form of a temporary cease-fire, not a resolution. First through the door was Sarah, short and voluptuous. She had rich medium-brown skin and straight dark hair that she wore down. Another woman, presumably her step mother, was close behind.

Derek could immediately see an obvious source of conflict. The step-mother was perhaps 10 or 15 years older than Sarah, no more. She was tall and slender with sharp features, small breasts, and beautiful wavy blonde hair.

Dr. Hickman introduced Sarah and Derek while the step-mother (Derek finally caught that her name was Olivia) dealt with some sort of paperwork with Claire. She was finishing up and preparing to leave when Derek suggested that she them for the session. Neither woman complained, but the tension between them was palpable.

In the bare office, the two women settled as far from each other as possible, as Derek made small talk to put them at ease.

“So,” he said, once they were as relaxed as he could reasonably expect, “I don’t know how much Dr. Hickman told you about what I do, but to start with, I just want to talk. I think the place I can help you the most, Sarah, is with your relationship with Olivia, which is why I invited her to us.”

“Why don’t you begin by telling me what bothers you,” he concluded. She looked back at him, pleadingly.

“In front of her?” she asked.

“Yes. Right here, right now.” He punctuated this with a steady wave of mental influence to speak honestly and directly.

Sarah resisted for only a few seconds before breaking. “She’s not my mom,” she said. “She wants to be, but she’s not. She’s some girl my dad is dating because he’s got money and insecurity. If that’s what he needs then fine, he can have it, but I don’t want to be a part of it.”

Olivia looked like she wanted to interrupt, but Derek quelled her with a thought, and addressed Sarah. “Where is your mother now?” he asked.

“She died two years ago,” Sarah answered. Derek smoothed out the obvious emotional jolt he had unintentionally triggered, and continued.

“And has your father seen any other women since then? Other than Olivia?”

“One or two.”

“What did you think of them?”

“I was angry at first, but then I understood.” Sarah bit her lip, anxious and frustrated by the direction the conversation was heading.

“And what makes Olivia different?” Derek asked.

“They were interested in him, but left me alone.” she replied.

“That’s not quite what I asked,” Derek said. “What is different about Olivia?”

Sarah sighed, bit her lip again, and said, “I think she’s serious about Dad. They’re probably going to get married, and I’ll have to deal with her forever.”

“OK, Sarah, thank you. I know that must have been hard. Now, please sit quietly while I talk to Olivia.” Derek turned to face the older woman. “First, is your relationship with Sarah’s father serious?” Again, he added mental encouragement to get his subject to speak freely.

“Yes,” she said. “We’ve been wanting to get engaged, but we were holding back because of Sarah.” Sarah looked aghast at this, but resisted the urge to comment.

“And that’s why you’ve been trying to form a relationship with Sarah?”

“Yes. I want to be a part of her father’s life, and she is a big part of that life, so we need some way of relating to each other. If we stay like this, it won’t be pleasant for either of us.”

Derek paused for a moment, making the necessary adjustments for his next steps.

“So, to sum up, Olivia wants a relationship with Sarah so that she can the family, but Sarah doesn’t want Olivia to replace her mother. OK, I can work with that.” He swiveled. “Olivia. You’ve missed the boat on the mother-daughter thing. Sarah is too old and you are too young. Not gonna happen.” Olivia wilted visibly, but Derek swung away to address Sarah. “Sarah. You’re going to have to establish some kind of relationship with Olivia. She is ing the family and it is unfair to your father to be an impediment to that.”

“So ... what do you suggest?” asked Sarah. “If she’s not going to be my mom, what should she be? My sister? My BFF?”

“I was actually thinking your lover,” replied Derek.

“WHAT?” said both women, nearly in unison.

“Hear me out, hear me out. Let me explain why, and I think you’ll agree its a good idea.”

“You’ll never—”; “I’ll never—”; “You must be—” the women were talking at once and not finishing their thoughts in their outrage. Derek let them rant for a few moments until the torrent calmed.

“Consider,” he began, once they were listening again. “What are family relationships? Most are built on genetics, or common childhoods, or similar. Mother-daughter, sister-sister, and so on. You ladies can’t have that. But what about other relationships, such as husband and wife? That’s built on intimacy, but is just as strong. So, if you want a family relationship, but can’t base it on the one, you need to use the other. Become lovers.”

“But I’m not a lesbian!” objected Olivia. “And neither is Sarah.” She paused, looking worried. “You ... aren’t a lesbian, are you, Sarah?”

“No, Olivia, I’m not a lesbian,” Sarah replied, deadpan.

“Really?” Derek arched an eyebrow, looking at Olivia. “You don’t need to be a full-on lesbian to be Sarah’s lover, you realize. And I saw you peeking down Claire’s blouse in the waiting room. Can you really tell me you’ve never done anything, never felt anything, with another woman?”

“In college, I dated a girl,” itted Olivia. She looked mortified that she was confessing this, and Sarah looked equally surprised. “We were together for six months. But that was just a phase!”

“Well, you can always phase back in, so to speak,” replied Derek. He turned to Sarah. “How about you? What are your thoughts and deeds with respect to the ladies?”

Sarah looked indignant, then embarrassed. Derek simply waited her out with a steady gaze. He knew that in her current mental state, she would soon be compelled to say whatever she was thinking.

Finally, she gave in. “When I was a sophomore in high school, I made out with my best friend at a slumber party on a dare. We just wanted to know what it was like.” She looked relieved, but that clearly wasn’t the whole story. Derek kept looking. She fidgeted a little, then blurted “And afterward I fantasized about it while I masturbated in my sleeping bag, OK?”

“Well, then. I accept that neither of you are lesbians, but that wouldn’t work anyway, since Olivia is marrying ... I’m sorry, I don’t know his name.”

“Terrence,” Olivia supplied.

“Terrence,” Derek continued, “and it would make no sense for her to do so if she were a lesbian. But, you both have expressed interest in women before, so there’s no reason to reject the idea of doing so again. Any other objections?”

The women shared a puzzled, frustrated expression, remarkably similar considering that they were unrelated. Derek had mentally shifted their attitudes so that, while they were free to argue against his plan, if he made a case against a particular objection, they would agree with him and the objection would no longer be compelling to them.

This was obviously settling in, and was a cause for mild concern. Finally, Olivia broke the silence by saying, “But I want to be faithful to Terrence. This would be cheating on him.”

“Would it, really?” asked Derek. “Sure, if you were to pick up someone in a bar, man or woman, that would be cheating. But Terrence has already given you permission to form a relationship with Sarah. In fact I’ll bet he’s encouraged it.”

“Not this kind of relationship,” Olivia objected.

“We’ve already been over the two kinds of family relationships, and we know that a sexual relationship is the only option available to you. Sure, it’s not exactly what Terrence had in mind, but it’s better than you hating each other, or ignoring each other. In the end, it would be best for your relationship with him. Any other objections?”

Olivia was starting to argue the point further, but she stopped, mouth open, looking somewhat rather silly and actually quite sexy. She closed her mouth without speaking, the point having melted away in her mind.

“Well, I still object,” chimed in Sarah, and Derek swiveled his attention to her. “I don’t even like her, and I don’t fuck people I don’t like.”

“How do you know that you don’t like her?” Derek asked.

“I just ... don’t. You like some people, you don’t like others. I don’t like her.”

“I don’t think you even know Olivia. I think you don’t like what she represents, but you haven’t given her a chance at all. Are you willing to ruin your father’s happiness for that?”

Sarah looked pained, but gave no reply.

“Well, you won’t know until you try. Why don’t both of you stand up and get naked, and we’ll see if that stirs anything.”

Olivia began undressing immediately, but Sarah was far more hesitant. It took a mental poke or two before she too, was removing her clothes.

Derek considered the ladies, both of whom were quite beautiful naked. Olivia seemed like she had been convinced of his plan; she clearly was willing to do a lot to make her relationship with Terrence work, and Derek had convinced her this would help. Also, she was already at least a little bit bisexual. Derek was slowly beginning to realize that he could sense some of these things from her directly. Perhaps his powers were expanding again, and he was learning to read minds?

Sarah, on the other hand, was much more resistant to the idea. This wasn’t because she was actually resisting his power, it was just that he hadn’t used it on her that much yet. She was clearly less into lesbian sex, and less committed to finding a way to make her relationship with Olivia work. Of course, Derek could make her into whatever he wanted to, and would. But he had a plan.

At his mental urging, the two women stepped towards each other and began to kiss. Olivia was into it right away, but Sarah, while receptive, wasn’t really reciprocating Olivia’s enthusiasm. After a moment or two, Sarah broke away, mumbling an apology, but it faded from her lips as she noticed Derek, who had taken the ladies distraction to undress himself, and stood before them naked and erect.

He laid the power on thick, and both women were almost physically drawn towards his cock. “I thought, perhaps, you would do better with something familiar to help you get used to new experiences,” he said.

He guided Sarah down to her knees to take him in his mouth, then slowly and gently bowled her over so she was lying on her back with him kneeling across her shoulders, leaning forward. Despite the awkward position, she slurped enthusiastically and bobbed her head up and down.

Sarah couldn’t see what Olivia was doing from her position under Derek, so she had no warning when the older women planted her tongue deep in her crotch. Her gasp of surprise and pleasure was stifled into a gargle by the cock in her mouth.

Olivia quickly brought Sarah to a short, sharp orgasm, during which she lost interest in Derek’s cock in what he could only feel was a slightly rude fashion, though he forgave her the indiscretion. He decided he could hold her attention more effectively another way, and shifted them around until he could enter her from behind.

Soon, he was thrusting into Sarah from behind while Olivia was inexorably forcing the younger woman’s face into her crotch. Sarah resisted for some time, but Derek increased his pace and her pleasure, causing her to zone out for a moment. When he backed off and she came back to reality, her nose was buried in Olivia’s pubic hair, and the battle was lost.

Sarah and Olivia were soon drawing more pleasure from each other than from him, so Derek slowly disengaged himself from the entertainment and retreated to watch. He hadn’t gotten off, but he didn’t mind. He was content to encourage the two women to get to know each other much better.

The hour ed all too quickly, and everyone sorted out their clothing and personal effects. The pair left much happier than they had arrived.

“Did you just...” Rowan started to ask, after they had left.

“Make them a couple? Yes, I did.” Derek replied. “Speaking of which, keep an eye on Sarah for me, would you? If anything goes bad for her, I want to help if I can.”

“Of course,” she replied. “I just wasn’t expecting your solution to be ... that direct.”

“So,” he said, changing the subject. “When do I get to meet Gina?”

“Oh! Right. Why don’t you come by for dinner this Friday?”

“Sounds good.”
