Interviewed by the Fae
Chapter 2 — Ophelia
by Sova
Ophelia knocked on the large mahogany doors of her former captor’s home and waited like a fool to be kidnapped again.
Three months. That’s how long Ophelia had been trapped in the House before being freed last week. Taken from the streets by the fae, enchanted into an aware but obedient maid by the Lady of the House. She was a vile fae woman with eyes red as rubies and long hair that could move like tendrils ready to strangle you. The entire time Ophelia never felt like herself as she cooked meals and performed other duties. A walking nightmare with moments where an entirely different person was wearing her skin.
And yet the last day was so incredible Ophelia still wasn’t sure if it had been real. She’d met Lady Beatrice, not for the first time technically but certainly the first time she’d been addressed by her. All she could was her eyes. Blue sapphires that sparkled like the night sky. She never thought just a glance could say so much, tell her without words she was sorry and hoped Ophelia wouldn’t suffer for much longer.
Then Ophelia woke up on the streets again feeling she’d lost a lot of time and wearing a treasure trove of jewelry. She’d spent the last week deciding whether or not to give it back.
The fears she had of waking up wearing what could only be described as stolen loot were obvious. How did she get it? What if the fae came for it? What if she had escaped and she should flee the city instead? She had no other memories, no clue what she had done, and the guilt had been eating at her. So here she was, at the door of her former captor’s, waiting for the consequences of a crime she didn’t committing.
At least, Ophelia thought that’s why she was here. It nagged at her but she almost felt like there was another reason.
It was taking a long time for somebody to answer the door. There were dozens, maybe hundreds of souls staffing the House from what she ed, it shouldn’t take this long. It was making her nervous, she nearly regained her common sense and bolted but right before she did the door creaked open to reveal a handmaiden catching her breath.
“Sorry for making you wait, we’re very understaffed right now—” She stopped, tilting her head. “Ophelia?”
“Do I know you?” Ophelia asked. She’d seen many faces in time here, but not this one. Especially as all the expressions she ed were either blank or defeated dread. This girl seemed quite cheerful in comparison, she was certain she’d her.
“Not really, we met for like, five seconds. And you were in a trance. I’ll reintroduce myself, I’m Lia.” Lia looked curious now. “Wait, that means you were part of the previous staff. I thought Lady Bea let you go.”
Ophelia nodded, trying to look calm and not terrified. “Yes, can…can I speak with her? Maybe without…the Lady of the House knowing?”
Lia made a face. “Wow, so you don’t even know, huh?”
“Know what?” Ophelia asked, shrinking down. Had they been talking about her? Were they looking for her and now she’d come back like an idiot to make it easy for them?
“A lot has changed since you were let go.” Lia smiled brightly. “May I ask why you wish to speak to my lady? I can relay a message easily, if entering the House scares you.”
“No! No, I need to talk to her…personally.” Ophelia could’ve said yes. She had all the jewelry on her, she could just hand it to Lia and run. Yet she couldn’t bring herself to do that. She needed to see Beatrice. She just…couldn’t quite pin down why.
Lia looked a little confused by her intensity but nodded as she stepped back to let her in. “Ok. She’s kinda busy today but you caught her at a good time, I think she can talk with you.”
Ophelia nervously entered. The doors closed, selling to her that there was no going back now. Lia motioned for her to follow and she did.
“The House seems emptier than I ,” Ophelia said. Before it was rare to walk for long without seeing another maid. Now it almost seemed abandoned. “How did it become so understaffed?”
“Well, Lady Bea sorta fired everyone.”
“Oh.” Fired was a funny word to use when the hiring process was being kidnapped. “Why?”
“Long story, but let’s just say she had issues with her mother’s management style.” Lia stopped at a door and knocked politely. Ophelia recognized this door. It was the door to the Lady of the House’s office but it was in the wrong place. It should be way deeper into the manor.
“Enter.”
The two of them entered and sure enough, it was the main office. Except instead of the Lady of the House behind the desk, hair as white as a faded wedding dress and eyes as sharp as knives, it was Lady Beatrice. Silver haired with calming sapphire eyes that looked quite confused to see her. “Ophelia?”
“Yes, my lady,” Ophelia said quietly.
Lia moved a chair in front of the desk for Ophelia to sit and then stood at her lady’s side. “She said she wanted to talk to you about something.”
“I mean, normally I’d ask for a proper meeting scheduled but I am concerned that you’re back.” Beatrice motioned for Ophelia to sit, to which she did. “Is something wrong?”
“I…please forgive me, my lady, I don’t know how it happened.” Ophelia put the box on the table and braced for whatever came next. “I just woke up with the jewelry on my. I swear I didn’t steal it, I would never do that, I truly can’t . You can have it back, I don’t want trouble, I just…”
“Ophelia,” Beatrice’s tone was so soft and gentle, breaking her out of her spiral, “take a deep breath. You’re not in trouble.”
Ophelia nodded and tried to breathe. She was shaking so much. Why was Beatrice being so kind to her?
“This is my fault. I hadn’t considered that you may not what I said to you while you were under.” Beatrice gave her a sympathetic look. “I’m sorry I used you like that.”
“What?” Ophelia was so confused.
“As you can tell, we’ve had a bit of a change in leadership. My mother has ed away, I am now the Lady of the House.” Beatrice seemed to choose her words very carefully when she said ‘ed away’. Lia looked uncomfortable, self-consciously rubbing her hand like she was trying to wipe a stain only she could see. “I gave you the jewelry. I hoped it would serve as compensation.”
“What exactly did you do to me?” There was only one thing Ophelia ed and it was not something she’d ever think to ask an apology for. It was taking all her will not to ask for it again.
“The short answer, I locked you in the basement.” Beatrice smiled to herself. “Long answer, our head of security can switch places with any of the staff. I needed to…displace her while I handled something personal.”
“So you made sure she would switch places with me, and made sure I was locked in the basement so she’d be locked in the basement?” Ophelia asked. She had a feeling as to what personal thing she had handled. Locking security in the basement seemed like a first step in helping a mother ‘ away’.
“Precisely.” Beatrice motioned to the jewelry. “You can take it, I’m certainly selling it if you refuse. It was a severance bonus. You don’t owe me anything.”
Ophelia stared at her. She should’ve been grateful. She should’ve left, clearly Beatrice would let her. So why couldn’t she go? If she didn’t feel like she’d accomplished what she came here for, what was it she was trying to accomplish? “I have to leave?”
That got a reaction from Beatrice. She looked saddened, and then sighed. “I see.”
“See wha—” Ophelia stopped as the fae’s eyes glowed an enchanting blue. All of her fears, all of the tension, everything that plagued her melted away from its wondrous light. Her mind was moving so much slower, she smiled droopily without a care.
This was why Ophelia couldn’t leave. This was what she wanted, more than anything in the world. Three months of the bloody red eyes and she’d fallen in love with the cherishing blue that had saved her from it. Even though she didn’t , she knew they owned her and needed to return to them. To submit to them.
“I must’ve left an impression on you, perhaps even remnants of your previous enchantment still linger. I should remove it if you’re truly to rid yourself of this place.”
“Nooo,” Ophelia whined. “Don’t take it from me, pleaseee.”
There was a defeated sigh from Beatrice, followed by a giggle from Lia. “Something amusing?”
“Oh you know, now that you’re making your own thralls it’s kinda funny to see how they like you so much more than they ever did Ida.”
“I think the eyes are doing the work,” Beatrice said. Her voice was so seductive without even trying. Ophelia felt a flicker of fire between her legs that was growing with every word.
“I think you just have that effect on people. The eyes are a window to the soul after all.” Lia leaned in, tilting her head at the dazed Ophelia. “My lady, why not invite her back? We are in desperate need of kitchen maids after you cleaned out the last staff.”
Those words began to ring in Ophelia’s head. They were going to do it. They were going to reclaim her. And as she sunk into her trance, captured by that blue glow that tore away at her inhibitions, she realized she wasn’t afraid. She was aroused.
“She was under my mother’s control, I don’t want to make her relive that.”
Ophelia knew it was wrong, she knew she shouldn’t, but her hand was starting to slip beneath her skirt. Just a little bit, she told herself, just a little and then I’ll be done. She knew she was lying.
Lia put a hand on Beatrice’s shoulder. “Or do you just not want to feel like you’re just like your mother?”
Beatrice sighed, turning her head to Lia. “It’s hard, you know? To fight the urge. Enchantment is like breathing to me, I just do it. I fall into a rhythm, this need to twist and tease until they’re just putty in my hands. It gives me such a rush but afterwards I feel so ashamed. Like I’m too weak to control myself.”
All Ophelia heard was that line about twisting and teasing. It took all her strength not to moan and draw their attention. Her hand was working between her legs as much as it could without seeming too obvious. Her mistress wasn’t even trying and she already felt like putty in her hands. The glow of the eyes that remained in her mind seemed to reward this, to make her feel so much pleasure for her obedience to them.
Lia glanced at her and made a face. “My lady—”
“The House needs maids. But do I truly need to fulfill my selfish desire for thralls to staff it?”
Ophelia knew that she was all but caught already but she didn’t stop. She wanted to be caught. She wanted to be seen. If she saw her she’d know she already all but owned her and maybe then she’d take her out of pity. Pity was better than abandonment.
“Do I truly—”
“Bea, I know all that, but like, you do realize she’s touching herself, right?”
Ophelia whimpered with both humiliation and delight, her hand just started going faster than ever.
“What?” Beatrice hid her face. “My oh my, Ophelia, you couldn’t help yourself, could you?”
“No, mistress,” Ophelia said, her words paired with a soft moan.
“You must want to be my maid so very badly.” Beatrice’s eyes glowed. Her tone was losing the guilt and replacing it with salacious intent.
Ophelia nodded, drooling at the sight of her eyes glowing again. “I want to be your maid. Your servant. Your pet. Please.”
“Bea, you’re getting into a rhythm— ” Lia was cut off as Bea turned her head, her eyes emptying and her jaw going slack the moment the glow hit her. Ophelia whined at not being able to see the eyes anymore.
“It does appear I am. Are you jealous, perhaps?” Beatrice asked.
“Yes, mistress,” Lia whispered with longing.
“Show me how jealous.”
Lia lifted her dress without hesitation. Beatrice ran her fingers along her panties. “Already soaking.”
“I’m sorry for being a slut, mistress.” Lia had quite the dreamy tone for a supposed apology.
“Don’t ever apologize for that, my love. It’s why you’re my favorite.” Beatrice hummed with amusement at Lia’s moan from the praise. “Why don’t you just take a little break. Stand off in the corner and play with yourself while repeating your mantras.”
“Yes, mistress.” Lia walked away like a sleepwalker, standing nearby with her hand in her panties, speaking soft words that couldn’t be heard by them from the distance.
“She was right to speak up,” Beatrice said, turning back to Ophelia, “but I had to get that out of my system if I’m to do this properly.”
Ophelia nodded in agreement, not really understanding. She was basically leaning over the desk now trying to get closer to her eyes.
“Now, I want you to be honest with me.” Beatrice smiled warmly, eyes shining bright. “You want to do what I ask, don’t you? You want to just listen to my words, obey my commands.”
“Yessss.” It’s all she wanted. It’s all she could do. It’s what she existed to do.
“You’ve said you came back because of the jewelry. I want to know the reason underneath. The one you didn’t truly know was there, until this very moment.” Beatrice’s eyes glowed brighter. “Tell me why you came here.”
Ophelia could feel her words cutting past the veil, revealing a truth she had been in denial of this entire time. “I wanted to see your eyes again. I wanted to feel their glow just one more time. The red glow of your mother’s was all I knew until I saw the light. Your light, the light of the sapphires that you’ve been gifted with.” She moaned with need, hand never stopping even now. “I’m sorry if I am unworthy of serving you but please, don’t make me forget. If you send me into the cold, I wish to at least keep the memory of your warmth.”
“Why do you think you’re unworthy?” Beatrice asked with confusion.
Ophelia gave a pleading look. “Why else would you send me away?”
For a split second there was such pain in Beatrice’s eyes. Almost the same pain she’d seen in them that first time. Guilt even, as if she had never considered such a thought. Then the eyes glowed so brightly Ophelia’s mind turned off completely. Her hand nearly fell still, if not for Beatrice whispering, “Don’t stop.” A pause. “But don’t cum until I allow it.”
“Yes, mistress.” Ophelia obeyed. She couldn’t stop. She didn’t want to stop. She wanted to sink, sink into the abyss and never return. It wasn’t long before she forgot it was her own hand between her legs. The eyes were so amazing they could make her feel this pleasure just from looking into them.
“I always do that, don’t I? Send those who yearn to serve away, fearful I’ve broken them. It pained me every time but I told myself it was for their own good.” Beatrice seemed to be talking to herself more than Ophelia. She was absorbing the info nonetheless, even if she had no mind to comprehend it. “I did it to Lia too. I sent the love of my life away because I thought I was hurting her, not realizing doing so hurt her more than anything else. She came back, same as you. And here I am trying to send you away just the same. How quick I am to fall back into bad habits.”
Beatrice put her hand underneath Ophelia’s chin. “Do you wish to be mine? Do you wish to give up your will to me, to submit and serve me with undying loyalty? To do any task, no matter how degrading or depraved?”
“Yes!” Ophelia moaned. Just the touch of her mistress was driving her up the wall, she wanted to kiss her, to worship her, she wanted to cum but she wasn’t allowed until her mistress said. And somehow that made her squirm even more. “Please.”
“Then I need you to listen to your fellow thrall. Sink deeper into your trance, let the pleasure open your mind, and listen to the mantras she speaks.” Beatrice motioned Lia over. Obediently Ophelia listened with intent and could hear the handmaiden mindlessly repeating herself as she too masturbated without shame. “Repeat them with her. Repeat them until they’ve seared in your core as truths. The moment they have, the moment you have submitted and become my thrall, you both may cum.”
“Yes, mistress,” Ophelia said, shaking with pleasure and excitement. Any rational part of her that knew begging to be taken by the fae was wrong had been silenced by the need to obey, to submit. The need for release, a release only her mistress could give.
“I am Beatrice’s property,” Lia said blankly.
“I am Beatrice’s property.” Ophelia felt the words imprinting on her identity. She was no longer just Ophelia. She was Ophelia, Beatrice’s property. It felt so good, so right. Her hand was moving faster than ever.
“My body belongs to her.”
“My body belongs to her.” Ophelia believed this with her heart, a heart that now belonged to Beatrice. She could use her, toy with her, tease and touch, at this point Ophelia was dying for her to do so.
“My mind is for her to fill.”
“My mind is for her to fill.” Ophelia’s mind was already filled with nothing but her mistress’s orders. She was to repeat these words, to them forever, to cum when she had obeyed. Her mind had been emptied by the eyes and it had been so wonderful she did not care what was put back in it. Her mistress had the right to do so.
“Her will is my will.”
“Her will is my will.” The will of her mistress had been controlling her from the moment they had met. Ophelia may have not realized it but she came back because of it. Because she had no will but Beatrice’s, that without her she was lost and now she’d been found and reclaimed as she was always meant to be. Beatrice’s will was her will.
And her will allowed and demanded that Ophelia could finally cum now that she had accepted that.
The act seemed to take them all by surprise. Beatrice seemed shocked she’d only needed one round of mantra to fully accept it into her core, Lia was shocked because it triggered her own orgasm as ordered, and Ophelia was shocked because she’d been so lost in pleasure, in the need of release, that it finally being gifted to her was a jarring surprise. Not that it wasn’t mind-shatteringly amazing, her moans nearly became screams as she arched her back and came as she was ordered. The orgasm lasted so long she managed to shout her new mantra with pride, solidifying its hold even more and doubling the pleasure she felt from the already intense release. “I am Beatrice’s property. My body belongs to her! My mind is for her to fill! Her will is my will!”
Ophelia slumped onto the desk, drooling as she caught her breath. Everything was so hazy, her ears were ringing and her mind was mush. She was ing out, she could feel it.
“How was that?” Beatrice asked softly. It was so casual, as if she hadn’t just used Ophelia’s shameful self-indulgent touching to break her mind and turn her into a new thrall.
“It was so different, you…you’re so different from her.” Ophelia smiled as she closed her eyes. “You’re so much better.”
There was a soft sigh. “I truly am a soft-hearted fae, aren’t I?”
“What makes you say that, mistress?” Lia asked, sounding a bit out of breath but more aware than before.
A gentle hand ran through Ophelia’s hair, petting her with loving care. “Because I can’t help but let a thrall sweet-talk me with honeyed words into keeping her.”
She’s going to keep me, was the last warm thought Ophelia had before she gave into the abyss of slumber.
