The Horse’s Ass

Chapter 9: Surrender

The next day ed in the same relentless rhythm.

John returned in the morning and put her back on the walker. Tempest spent hours moving in slow, steady circles — slow, fast, halt, slow again — until her legs shook and her mind went dull. By the time the light began to fade, she was moving more from exhaustion than conscious effort.

When John finally brought her back to the stall that evening, she was beyond tired. Her legs trembled with every step, and the inside of the horse head was hot and slick with sweat. He secured her in the center with the two short leashes, then reached up and unbuckled the horse head. He removed it along with the gag.

Tempest worked her jaw, breathing freely for the first time in hours. She kept her eyes fixed on the floor. For several long seconds she said nothing. The weight of everything she had become pressed down on her — the thick plug and heavy tail shifting with every small movement, the rigid boots forcing her onto her toes, the arm binder pinning her arms behind her back, and the constant exposure of her breasts through the openings in the bodice. Shame rose thick and sickening in her throat.

She didn’t want to speak. She didn’t want to give voice to the broken thing forming inside her. But the words were already there, clawing their way out.

Finally, in a small, cracked voice, she whispered:

“I don’t want to be Jennifer anymore.”

She swallowed hard, the confession gaining momentum despite her shame.

“I was awful. I see that now. I don’t want to go back to that person. I… I want to be Tempest. Your pony. Please.”

Her voice cracked. Tears slipped down her cheeks. She squeezed her eyes shut for a moment, mortified by her own desperation, but the words kept spilling out.

“I’ll be good. I’ll be whatever you want me to be. Collared, harnessed, kept like this — I don’t care. Just don’t stop. Please don’t make me go back to being her.”

She opened her eyes again, looking up at him with raw, pleading humiliation.

“I know how pathetic this sounds,” she whispered, voice shaking. “But I’m still begging you. Keep me like this.”

John looked at her without speaking. He did not reach out to touch her. For a long moment, the only sound in the stall was her uneven breathing.

Then he reached into his apron and pulled out the gag. Without a word, he fitted it back into her mouth and secured the straps behind her head. Tempest made a small, muffled sound of protest, but he ignored it. He lifted the horse head and lowered it over her face, buckling the wide collar around her throat until it locked into place.

Only when she was fully silenced and hooded did he speak again.

“Some debts need to be paid in full,” he said quietly. “Your correction is almost complete.”

He reached into his pocket, pulled out his phone, and dialed a number.

Tempest stood bound and gagged in the center of the stall, unable to speak, unable to argue, unable to beg. She could only listen as John spoke into the phone.

“Hello,” he said calmly. “This is John. I have something you need to see. It concerns your sister… the barista. I believe I have the woman responsible for what happened to her. She’s ready now.”

He listened for a moment, then gave the address of the farm.

“I’ll be waiting,” he said, and ended the call.

Tempest’s stomach dropped. A broken, muffled sound escaped around the gag. She pulled against the arm binder and the short leashes, not because she thought she could escape, but because her body still refused to accept what was happening.

John slipped the phone back into his pocket and looked at her one last time.

“You begged to be kept,” he said quietly. “That matters. You stopped asking to be rescued. You asked to remain what I made you.” His voice stayed calm, almost gentle. “That means the correction took.”

He turned and walked out of the barn.

The door closed behind him with a soft, final click, leaving her alone in the stall — fully geared, hooded, gagged, and silenced.

Tempest remained standing in the center, arms locked behind her back, the heavy tail shifting inside her with every shallow breath. The horse head pressed around her face, warm and close. She could hear her own breathing inside it, loud and panicked.

A few minutes earlier, she had thought she was choosing Tempest over Jennifer.

Now she understood the final cruelty.

She had given herself to him completely.

And he had just given her away.
