The kleptin reviewed the crew of eighteen assembled at the command center. They were highly trained, first-rank. The kleptin had chosen most of them for the mission. They deserved the truth.
The mission was over.
The kleptin pulsed a sober teal. The ship is crippled from the impact of punching through the alien battle cruiser. Our beloved enjoyneer its the repairs could only be accomplished at a major ship facility. This world falls far short of that tech. We are marooned. You all know our vessel is a prototype; there is no hope of rescue. We have abundant power, of course. Yet we have failed.
That is the least of our concerns, as you may have surmised.
The crew pulsed an orange distressed aura.
This confirmed the kleptin’s assessment. They had heard or guessed. Our beloved counselor has a plan of Joy. I the plan, but some of you may have ideas to improve the plan. If we all agree, we will postpone the Joy Atonement Death and go forward with the counselor’s plan. Counselor, it is your meeting now.
The counselor pulsed blue joy. They slowly ed the entire plan and all meaningful roles to the crew. I am open to questions now.
There were several hundred questions.
The meeting ran long.
The plan was modified and accepted.
The kleptin asked, Update me, medical?
The beloved medical pulsed a gentle aqua. As feared, confirm, the alien vessel did not survive impact with our trajectory. We confirm a two-alien craft. One alien did not escape the vessel and perished horribly red. After escaping the damaged flight craft, one alien was recovered by a very large team of recovery vessels. We are getting a handle on their language, but it is needlessly primitive. Cannot recommend we delay our counselor’s plans to allow mastery of the alien language. And since we all agree the Prime Joy is violated…
The kleptin pulsed green.
Beloved medical touched minds with the kleptin. They soothed each other within white. It has been my honor to serve with you, beloved kleptin.
The kleptin ed memories of their full life to the beloved medical. They both felt the full white. It’s all up to the counselor now. May this bring us Joy.
Captain Jillian Yankov stood carefully using her cane and saluted the crash review board.
The senior officers returned her salute.
“Dismissed, Captain.”
Yankov worked her way out of the too-warm khaki room. She hadn’t expected it to go that well, but then she hadn’t known all the evidence from the crash. Jillian only cleared medical a week ago.
But Sarah was dead either way. The tight fury inside her would not go away. She ached with failure.
Twenty minutes later, Yankov showed up, as promised, at the base cantina. “Hey, doc.”
Dr. Kris Bertrand smiled across the corner table. “Beers, dark, as prescribed.” She noted Jillian’s tight body language.
Jillian sat. She grabbed the beer and toasted. “To absent friends.”
Kris clinked the glasses.
They drank.
Yankov smiled at Bertrand, “Yeah, so neither the ground crew nor the pilot is at fault. All evidence suggests spontaneous failure of the engine. But funny thing, there’s that 13-millimeter hole in the retrieved turbine blades and in Sarah and also in my helmet. And we all know about the metal bit in my head.”
“I’m not your doctor right now. As a friend, I know you want more answers. Give it time. They’ll still look at every piece of the F69 prototype. I hear a turbine blade went off and wrecked the F69 from the inside out. You’re lucky to be alive.” Kris smiled.
“So everyone says.” Jillian sighed. “Except I don’t anything that happened that day.”
“Head injuries are like that. However, I’ve talked to the team; no surgery recommended. The tiny bit of nickel superalloy in your head stays unless something further develops.”
“And I’m grounded,” Jillian said with a blank face.
“Yep.” Kris nodded. Jillian’s eyes went dull.
“Kris. I don’t anything. It could have been something I—”
Kris leaned forward. “We’ve talked about this. Let it go, kid.”
“Sure. I’m on medical leave. I’ll be good.” Jillian thought, yes, for ninety days, I can be good.
Jillian started seeing the lights in her sleep that week. Colors she could not name.
Meant nothing. She was supposed to keep a log for the neuro-team, so she did. Colors. Unknown. Many.
Big deal. She worried mostly about the stroke’s effects on her face and leg. Physical therapy helped, only a bit. There were some common words her mouth just murdered, so she stopped using them. Her face didn’t move as it should. Some days she crashed to the ground because she thought her leg would do a simple thing it had forgotten how to do.
The answer was always. 90 days. I can be good. Jillian remained angry with herself. Day 83 changed everything. Jillian was sipping fresh coffee in her kitchen. Lovely sunshine.
Deanna Troi said, Good morning, Joyleeanne.
Jillian’s head snapped around to the voice at her shoulder. Deanna Troi was nude. Gorgeous.
Jillian splashed hot coffee all over her nightshirt and face. She screamed, jerked, “FUCK!” Her leg gave out. She crashed to the hard floor. Her cane was in the bedroom.
Deanna crouched down next to her. Joyleeanne. I am so sorry. Is this not a heroic person for communication? Are you badly hurt?
Jillian decided the hot coffee nightshirt was a secondary problem to naked Deanna Troi in her kitchen with a lovely Brit accent and the best boobs in fiction. “I am so fucked up.”
Deanna smiled. A lovely thought. But you are jumping ahead of the mission script. Can we talk? Gurl to gurl?
Jillian started laughing. It actually felt really good—in a very sick way.
Hey. Crazy could be worse. Jillian had showered off the coffee, treated the burns, wrapped a towel around herself, and reed Deanna in the living room. Deanna declined the offer of a towel.
Crazy has perks. Jillian could not stop smiling at her pretty naked delusion.
Deanna explained her mission, a bit about her culture, and wept as she explained the terrible loss of the F69 ‘vessel’, Sarah, and the proposed plan going forward.
Jillian got serious about this after the first thirty minutes of explanations. The next two hours convinced her that no delusion could be this complex.
Deanna/counselor finished with, We hope you find understanding regards our terrible error and plan for Joy Atonement. We are very, very sorry.
Jillian swallowed. This was a First . With aliens. Friendlies. It was a terribly wonderful dream come true. Also now a nightmare. Jillian sat with her emotions for a long time. Would the Air Force brass believe her?
Jillian wished Sarah was here.
Deanna/counselor remained patient.
Jillian cleared her throat. “In summary, you are really here, buried in my head. Your 13-millimeter bleedship is crippled but stable. You have broken your Prime Directive, and since you cannot go home, you are going to…commit to death.” She wasn’t going to talk suicide ethics with an alien. She would just botch it.
Our Prime Joy is broken. We have murdered a sentient, disturbed a primitive culture, and altered your life, Joyleeanne. We have no honor course, except to make things right by you as we can. Deanna/counselor ired her understanding and pulsed blue.
Jillian could not see that blue. “Yes, and you would already be dead, except you all decided to teach me Joy, with a capital ‘J’. So I can put my life together? You don’t have to do that. I’m not prone to suicide. This was an accident. Did I fly into you or did you fly into me?”
Stop it. Selfish question.
Deanna/counselor smiled gently. Our vessel moves between quants. When our velocity became real in your quant, world, we were moving much faster than your F69. Our shields held imperfectly. We struck you from behind. We cannot believe in accidents, Joyleeanne. The universe moves toward Joy. We accept responsibility for what has happened. If we returned to our world, we would each still end ourselves in honor. Our people would agree. Since we cannot return, we wish you to understand Joy. Before we Atone.
Jillian tried something, a white lie, “But our Prime Directive says an advanced civilization should not interfere with a more primitive one until we have warp—uh, bleed-drives. So teaching me Joy is interfering. You see? Please don’t die. That makes it worse.”
No. It was our error. How could we not make Atonement? We do not understand your ethic, but thank you for sharing it. Deanna looked thoughtful. I shall confer with the kleptin. We would not teach you against your will, of course. As our teaching is unwanted, we gladly move on to the Joy Atonement Death.
Jillian took Deanna’s hand. “No. No. Wait. Holy fuck.” First . Fuck. Kill the crew? No. Sara’s death? “I accept the teaching. It takes years, right? Can I talk to the Air Force about this while you are teaching me?”
As you wish, Joyleeanne. Is the Air Force your life partner? I would like to meet your life partner; it will help with the teaching. Deanna looked relieved; she pulsed a stronger invisible blue.
Jillian realized she needed to stall. She wasn’t trained for this. This was huge. Hot. She needed to keep the Joyful People alive long enough to establish some diplomatic something with them and America. She did not look forward to the government stamping ‘top secret’ on her forehead, though. Oh well. Maybe brain surgery after all. “Yeah, I’m all for learning Joy. And I don’t have a steady life partner. The Air Force is my…kleptin?...I guess. I suggest your entire crew delay Atonement until my kleptin can talk with them.”
Jillian put a big smile on her face. And finally noticed she was holding Deanna’s hand. “Wait. If you are a micro alien inside a tiny bit of super-science alien bleedship in my head, how am I holding your hand?”
Deanna smiled. “The same way we are kissing, Joyleeanne.” And Deanna kissed her. Sexy blue.
Nine days later, Jillian slowly woke up clearheaded. Aqua. She smiled at the ceiling of her apartment. She was hungry. Thirsty. She sat up, losing the towel. She stood and walked to the sunny blue kitchen.
So blue. So Joy. Mmmm.
Coffee. Coffee first. Then a sexy shower.
Drinking coffee. She noticed the phone messages listing four calls. Mmm? She listened to all four messages from Kris Bertrand. Nodded to herself. So green.
She called Kris. “Hey. Ya. It’s me. I’m good. You should come over here. I need you.” She hung up. Kris would know what to do next. Blue.
Damn, this coffee was excellent.
Kris arrived in twenty minutes because the anxiety of husky-voiced Jillian hanging up on her was intense. Kris knocked on the door, and it was unlocked, so she just rushed in. The small apartment was not complex.
Jillian. Naked.
In the extra pale yellow kitchen, Jillian drank her second cup of coffee, leaning on her cane. Naked.
Kris slowed. Did not stop. Did not stare at the younger woman’s fine body. She walked over and leaned on the kitchen counter. “You, uh. Said you needed me.”
“I really do. Which thing first? Aliens? Or the fact we love each other?” Jillian smiled radiantly and pulsed blue.
Kris gasped; she could not see the blue. “Love each other? Aliens can wait. Tell me about the sexy.”
Jillian nodded. “You chose wisely.” She kissed Kris. They both started getting rid of Kris’ clothes. Very blue. So hot blue.
Kris woke up with her head still between Jillian’s legs. Kris sighed, “Oh. This really happened.”
“Yes.” Jillian agreed, sounding excited. Aqua.
Kris felt the world was better somehow for that ‘yes.’ “I’ve never, uh. Barry is not going to believe this.”
Jillian thought about that. “Don’t tell him if you feel Joy keeping it a secret. Do you want coffee?” Green.
“Yes. Want coffee. But I want to fuck you again, because it felt like I was more alive than I’ve ever been. But Barry is…” Kris ran out of words.
Jillian swung out of bed. “I’ll fuck Barry and you if you want. It seems the right thing to do. I’m making coffee. Come get some.”
Kris wandered after Jillian. “Come get some. Your limp is better.”
“My everything is better, Kris. I’ve loved you for years.” Jillian carefully started the coffee. Pulse aqua.
“Loved me? I’m fifteen years older than you. This will never work.” Kris dragged fingers through her messy hair. “Sorry. I have no idea what I’m doing. Should we fuck before the coffee or after?”
Jillian turned and started playing with Kris’ nipples. “Let me explain. We need to keep the aliens in my head alive. That means we need to have them teach us Joy—slowly. At least until I have a better plan to talk them around to not dying. So the two of us can fuck Barry if he likes and you like. OK?” She leaned down, and bit then sucked a nipple. Excellent blue. Throbbing pussy. Pulse blue.
Kris came slowly. “Yeah. Fuck Barry. Two of us. But you’re not his type, Jillian. And aliens? In your head?”
“Ya. Maybe aliens too.” Jillian agreed. “God, you’re so wet.” Fast blue.
“You never told me you had a thing for aliens…” Kris shuddered. Why was this so good?? She’d never wanted it with a woman. This was spooky. Hot.
Jillian went down on one knee and started thrilling Kris’ clit with her tongue. “Big. Trek. Fan. Deanna Troi said it was OK.” So much Joy.
Kris felt an orgasm nearing fast. “Big. Janeway fan, myself. Ooooooooooh. JJeeezussss!”
One week ed. Jillian and Kris decided to give Barry some idea of the sudden Joy they had found.
Barry wasn’t worried when Kris was late for dinner. He heard the kitchen door open and close.
“Hey, Kris, let’s go out and get pancakes.” Barry put down his e-reader.
Kris and Jillian were in the white-trimmed kitchen doorway. They wore classic Trek science-blue miniskirt uniforms and black stockings. Boots. Barry noted the Vulcan wigs and a tricorder in Kris’ hand. They both had pointed ears. Kris looked up from her tricorder. “This human will do. We mean you no harm. Show us to your bedroom, Earthman.”
Jillian slid a palm under her skirt and grabbed at her pussy and husked, “Pon Farr, Barry. Move it.” She pulsed blue.
Barry could not see that blue. Didn’t matter. Didn’t matter that he knew Jill was lez. He was hard. He was ready. This was a good day. He closed his mouth.
Barry stood. “On behalf of my planet, I will welcome you. Be gentle.”
“Beg me,” Kris purred. She led him to the bed.
The little pale bedroom went blue very fast.
One week ed.
B’Elanna Torres had sweet brown muscles. Great posture. Naked. So hot. Joyleeanne, you needed something about the bleed-drive explained?
Jillian looked at Barry and Kris sitting on the sofa, nervous. “Can you see or hear B’Elanna?”
The married couple both shook their heads ‘no’.
“Damn.” Jillian asked her questions on the power systems and drive of the bleedship. Asked again on a few points that seemed to only make sense if Jillian closed her eyes. The work that Deanna/counselor had done on her mind made the tech seem logical. Almost.
Clearly, power was not the issue. Pulse aqua. Damage directly to the QinQuant hull fibers was the issue. There was no way to repair them. B’Elanna/enjoyneer estimated maybe in three hundred years the Earth tech would be able to.
Jillian thanked B’Elanna sincerely, and they kissed. Blue. B’Elanna/enjoyneer slapped Jillian’s ass and returned to the ship in a blink of heat. “This is sad. I cannot see a way to save them. As soon as they ‘complete my Joy reform’, they do the Joy Atonement Death, and now I feel responsible.”
Barry looked at Kris and then Jillian, “Well, it is their culture. Are you honestly sure this isn’t a delusion?”
The ladies glared at him.
Kris squeezed his thigh. “Was the hot sex a delusion, Barry? I believe her.”
“OK, OK, well, there’s nothing we can do, Jill,” Barry sighed. “They can’t teach our folks bleed-drive. You can’t stall them for three centuries, after all. How long do they live anyway?”
Jillian was stalking a path within the white-walled apartment and thinking, “Beverly Crusher/medical says as long as the Bleed-drive runs true, they have infinite medical . I think they are energy beings.”
Kris, excited, tried, “What if the kleptin overrides the Prime Joy? Like Kirk would do? I mean, if B’Elanna is right, and they live that long…”
Jillian nodded. “Yes, but I’ll be dead if they slow debate it. How fast is our side going to move? Who’s going to save my tiny friends when my burial instructions are ‘keep the head, do not throw out’? Deanna says they will die once they return to their own world. Getting home would mean reporting the mission fail. Boom. Joy Atonement Death. I feel like I’m missing something.”
“Where is D.C. Fontana when you need her?”
“Who?” Barry asked.
Jillian sat up and was instantly awake. She pulsed a blue so deep her toes curled. “Barry, you’re a genius! They can teach us! They can save our fucking planet!!”
Later, Jillian explained.
Barry looked uncomfortable. “That is not what I said. That’s not my idea. Jillian, I think you need to stop. You’ll never get the brass to take you seriously. We can’t even see these people. It won’t fly.”
Kris nodded. She didn’t like it. But he was probably right. Kinda teal now.
Jillian smiled. “But I don’t believe in the no-win scenario. Do you?”
Barry was unhappy to tell her. “Yes. Kirk is awesome. I love the guy. But no. No-win exists. The brass will retire you for medical in-the-line-of-duty.”
“Yeah, unless I cheat,” Jillian said. Sizzling sexy Joy. So blue.
Kris perked up.
Barry frowned. “You cannot Pon Farr the brass.”
Jillian grinned. “I can. They won’t see it coming. But that’s not your…my plan.”
Kris reached and put her hand over Barry’s mouth. “Tell us your plan.” She pulsed teal.
Jillian winked at them. That Kris was pulsing colors she probably couldn’t see was a great indicator that this would work. “First, I seduce the Wing Center Commander, General Mark Mask. Get him to agree to a First meeting. Then we have a full meeting of Earth and aliens.”
Behind Kris’ hand, Barry sighed.
“Quiet, Barry,” Kris grinned.
The carpet was not quite soft enough. It was after hours. A single light on the desk shadowed everything in the room.
Mark Mask sighed, “That was the best example of Pon Farr ever. I’ve never cum like that. Five times? I’m old enough to be your dad, Jillian.” He shifted up on one elbow and looked at her. “Your wig fell off.” God, she was hot. “So did you really come to talk about resignation? You shouldn’t resign, you know.”
Jillian pulsed deep blue. “You knocked my ears off, too. Not worried. Let me tell you how famous you will be when you host a First with aliens meeting in your office.”
Mark laughed, “Oh, great. You’re crazy. We’re done here, I think.”
Jillian pulsed deep blue. Mark got hard. He looked at his erection. “So tell me about the aliens, science officer.”
Jillian whispered, “Fuck first. Talk later.” Save the aliens. Radiant blue.
Mark growled. “Oh, yeah. Fuck first. Talk later.”
Jillian rolled over on top of him. “Prepare for docking maneuvers.”
The plan was agreed to by Deanna and then the crew of the bleedship. There would be more discussion with Jillian’s kleptin.
Mark demanded the meeting take place in Jillian’s small apartment as a concession to base security. His office was too public. He also insisted it be noon, so that no fancy light tricks or holograms of aliens were involved.
General Mask was not an easy believer.
Jillian gave in to every concession. Even provided the three blowjobs once he arrived for the meeting. He pulsed a soft teal.
Mark zipped up before Barry and Kris arrived. They were nervous. Sunny deep yellow.
Noontime came. Barry and Mark checked their watches. Two minutes later. Mark softly said, “Captain Yankov, you will report tomorrow morning for a full medical evaluation. Don’t make me send MPs to find you.”
Jillian nodded. “Sir, they are still arriving in ones and twos. I know you can’t see them yet, but give us some time to get organized. Please.” Jillian pulsed blue and nodded to the five alien crew already present.
Deanna/counselor gave Jillian a ‘thumbs up’ sign. Joy.
Finally, in a few minutes, Jillian saw all eighteen of them. Naked. Soft blue pulses filled the tiny apartment. Such Joy.
Jillian came to attention. “General Mask, the kleptin will be arriving, sir.” She saluted.
General Mask looked at the empty room. He sighed.
Barry looked pained when Kris saluted the empty room as well. But damn. He wasn’t even in the Air Force. Barry saluted.
General Mask sighed and saluted. This is sad. Dammit. Why am I hoping she’s right?
The kleptin arrived. Naked with a coffee cup in the left hand. Janeway/kleptin nodded to the Earth people. Pleased to meet your kleptin, Captain Jillian. I was told there would be coffee. Give us a minute to minds as you requested.
Janeway/kleptin turned her back and nodded to her crew. Let’s begin the meld.
Jillian nodded. Of course, Janeway has a great ass. It’s my mind working hot overtime. So hot. I’m gonna cum just looking at them all. I should have worn less.
The nineteen aliens all pulsed at once. Very blue.
Every Earther gasped. Nineteen naked aliens appeared. The Earthers knew most of those faces. All of Earth did. And the bodies were so good, too. So naked. Very sexy. Maximum blue Joy.
General Mask finished his salute. He looked at Jillian. “You didn’t say it was Janeway!” He pulsed teal.
Janeway/kleptin turned back to the Earthers. So, about that coffee?
Jillian nodded. “Right this way. Welcome aboard.”
They were using first names within twenty minutes.
Mark sat chatting across from Janeway/kleptin. “I gotta tell you, Kathryn. You picked the perfect face for First . You’ve been my idol since I was eighteen years old. Tough as nails. Talking to you is quite a moment.”
Kathryn/kleptin smiled. We appreciate Jillian supplying us with heroic communication choices. You appear a grand specimen yourself, Mark. She pulsed soft blue. Gentle Joy.
Mark’s cock was so hard. This was nearly too much. Her eyes gleamed with such intelligence. Her voice was pure kindness and sexy as hell. Mark coughed. “So please explain the difficulty you are in. We’d like to help, of course.”
No real difficulty, Mark. Counselor, would you take over the meeting now? Kathryn/kleptin nodded once at Deanna.
Deanna gave them all the facts, augmented by the entire crew’s expertise in the mind meld. The crash error. The Prime Joy broken. The Joy, Atonement, and Death.
General Mask looked at Captain Yankov across his desk. “Yesterday was amazing. You are to be commended. This is going to change the world. Maybe. Or not. Because they don’t show up on TV or film or video. We see them when you ‘broadcast them’ to us. You are the walking transmitter. How’s that going to work for the media? It will all look like a flimsy hoax by Air Force nerds. Even if you can broadcast the crew to a big meeting of brass, there’s no recording. There’s no sound.”
Mask put his hands on the desk. “Jillian. This is huge. I agree with every point you’ve made. I’ve seen it, and it is definitely First . But it doesn’t scale, as some media folks would say. How do we prove to anyone who agrees with us that it is real? I can’t take this up the ladder.”
Jillian saw it was all going off plan. “Sir, Mark, that’s never been my plan. That’s not how you solve the Prime Joy. This is the no-win scenario. They cannot fix having brought pain to another species.”
Mask looked at her. “Damn. No-win scenario. That sounds really familiar. What’s that from?”
Jillian laughed gently. “Trek, Wrath of Khan. Kirk never believed in the no-win scenario, so he cheated at the academy test. I want to cheat death—just a little.” She pulsed green. Mark was such a guy. ed all about Pon Farr but no recall of the Kobayashi Maru.
“Can’t work. Bad form. We cheat aliens at First . Bust their culture? I don’t buy it. Didn’t that movie kill off Spock? Are you Spock in this?” Hell. When she laughs like that, I get such a sexy buzz. Focus. “What is your plan? I’m listening. I thought you planned to convince the brass? I’m convinced the brass will shoot us down and send you to the Skunkworks for permanent study.”
Jillian Yankov had not thought about being ‘confined’ to station at the Skunkworks so the alien tech could be studied. She knew reg her commission would not save her from that. The fine print allowed the service to do with her as they might. She rethought the whole thing.
Jillian read Mark’s colors. He wanted her to succeed. He was full of forest green. But he would also play by the book. So would the brass. If she were going to cheat. She needed to cheat the Air Force and get help from Janeway/kleptin.
Unfortunately, the kleptin was the responsible leader to enforce the Prime Joy. Jillian sighed. The no-win scenario.
Well, step one. She stood up. “General, you have a better assessment of the top brass than I do. I’ll have to think on this some more. Give me a week before you tell them what’s really in my head?” She pulsed hard blue.
His pupils dilated. Mark stood slowly. His erection saluted her.
“Oh, I see you like my ideas.” Jillian took off her jacket. She dropped her skirt to the floor. She pulsed blue again.
“I like all your ideas, Jillian. But a week doesn’t change anything.”
Jillian nodded. She stepped behind the desk and kissed Mark. Pulsed purple. “No, but a week could change what we have, Mark.”
He put his hands on her hose-covered ass. “Ah. Week could.” He devoured her mouth.
Jillian slid her fingers down his pants. “I don’t want to forget this.”
“Not in my office.” He looked at her legs. “I mean, maybe later. I think.”
Jillian whispered, “I can’t wait. I want it in my mouth now. Before I forget.” She pulsed purple.
Mark groaned. “Yes. Before I forget.”
“Forget the aliens. Forget the plans. Never forget you fucked me so good.” Jillian loved his colors now. This was better for him, all around.
“Jillian. I’ll never forget I fucked you so good.” His eyes rolled up white Joy.
“Thank you, Mark. I love you.” She unzipped him and slid his hot cock into her mouth. She began pulsing blue rapidly.
They kissed within pulsing azure fields. Fingers found rivers of cerulean Joy. Orgasms blue-bridged mind to mind. Jillian shared white-blue heat and a future of greater Joy. She put herself in the beloved kleptin’s wise hands, legs, lips, and fingers.
Such as they weren’t.
Janeway/kleptin rolled up and out of Jillian’s bed. You are delicious sapphire. Your plan is outrageous. I need coffee and time to think about it.
Jillian played with a tit. “God, your ass is awesome.” She pulsed lapis. Jillian let her lover go think on it. She played with her clit and nipple until she hit a purple pulse. Boom. Then she strolled into the kitchen.
Janeway/kleptin sipped coffee in the pale kitchen. I’m having second thoughts about the counselor training you. You are very colorful, Jillian. When did you come up with this plan?
“Thank you, kleptin. I’m honored.” Jillian got herself a cup of coffee. She kissed Janeway/kleptin on the ear over her shoulder. “Mostly last night. I watched Wrath of Khan again. You would like it. We could watch it together.”
Janeway/kleptin turned around to face her. She kissed Jillian. Janeway/kleptin shared the white. Jillian’s life also had excellent white.
Jillian was also a good kisser. Something persuasive in that. Jillian was an interesting species. Fascinating differences. Great potential. Did Sarah like this ‘Wrath of Khan’ as well? We would much about Sarah, if it does not pain you.
Jillian did not expect this. The shared white allowed her to answer honestly. “Sarah and I watched it a few times together, yes. Maybe six times. Sarah thought the most important character was Lieutenant Saavik. Saavik represents the future, learning from the past. Spock is lost to sacrifice, but the tale shows Saavik will carry on with courage through the loss. Because of Spock, she lives. Most of them live.”
Yes. Janeway/kleptin kissed her again. Let us watch the ‘Wrath of Khan’ and think on Sarah’s sacrifice. Your plan has merit. I think Sarah would approve.
So naked on the floor, holding hands, they watched the no-win scenario and thought of Sarah. And wept.
Jillian told Barry and Kris the new plan.
Barry said, “Are you sure? That sounds contrary to everything the aliens have done so far. Are you OK, Jillian?”
Jillian nodded, “Sure. I’m just excited.” Blue-white-arctic.
Kris looked at her for a long time. “And tears. Excited and tears? Did the kleptin sign off on this?” She handed Jillian a tissue.
“She did. I think it will work. And it’s much better than any plan we’ve had so far.” Jillian wiped her eyes.
Kris asked, “Does the General know?”
“Nope.”
Barry gave Jillian a hard look. “He’ll know something is up. He’ll have to report us. This doesn’t fly.”
“Nope. Mark doesn’t know about this plan. Mark doesn’t know about the aliens either. It was a bad idea involving the brass.” Jillian shrugged.
Barry tried to say something a couple of times. Kris’ expression stopped him.
Kris smiled. “OK, then. So the crew is going to train all three of us in the Joy now. When?” She pulsed aqua.
Jillian laughed, “Maybe you should go home and talk to Barry about it.”
Kris grinned, “I just did. He looked at my face. We had a ‘face conversation.’ I won the argument.”
Barry muttered. “This is like ing a cult.”
“Pon Farr, baby. Woo!” said Kris with a lewd grin. Fast blue.
Barry was hard just that fast. He nodded. Yeah, Pon Farr.
Jillian smiled, “Well then. Once we three are up to speed. Then we each pick someone else for them to teach. The idea completes when we have a self-teaching body of Earthers that are much more in tune with Joy. Janeway/kleptin thinks a thousand Earthers is a good number.”
Barry sighed, “Not a cult then. That’s a movement.”
Jillian nodded, but she pointed out, “That is Atonement, baby. Aliens setting us on a worthy new course. The world needs Joy. Pon Farr is just a delicious perk. Besides, there may be a four-way with B’Elanna and Deanna.”
Kris said, “Or Janeway.”
Jillian added, “Or Saavik.”
Barry’s face lit up. “Uhura! OK. I’m in.”
