An Eldritch Pact
Chapter 04
By Nightfuel
Karl had planned on having a full first day at Bracken Ridge. His morning walk aside, he had intended upon having a proper look at the small town. Maybe even travelling further up the mountain to sightsee, although that had been more for Jess than for him. Karl had wanted to get some shopping done as well since they would go through the supplies he had packed pretty quickly. All in all, he had a full day of chores and activities planned out.
They did none of that. Karl spent the entire day in bed with Jessica.
Karl couldn’t help it. He just couldn’t keep his hands off of his girlfriend. What did surprise him though, was that Jess went along with it. She became noticeably exhausted as the day wore on, her movements becoming sluggish, but she kept up as best she could. Tiredly spreading her legs for him, her expression resigned. It was behaviour so out of her norm that Karl would have queried it, but …
He was. So. Fucking. Horny.
To his mild embarrassment, Karl’s mind kept wandering as well — even in the middle of sex! His thoughts kept drifting to other women. Old girlfriends. Alisha, the overly friendly woman who had promised to help him. Even her friend, Amanda. The moment that Karl had pictured Amanda on all fours in his bed, her long red hair gathered in his fist instead of Jessica’s dirty-blonde locks … well, that was one of the few occasions he didn’t last that long.
Karl and his girlfriend took only the most sparing of breaks during their long day in bed. Water, a quick bite to eat … and then straight back to it. Jess began complaining at some point that she was getting sore, but as she didn’t explicitly tell him to stop, Karl found it hard to pay attention to her. His girlfriend shifted so quickly from complaints into practically begging him to fuck her harder after all.
Eventually though, even Karl began to feel slightly tired. He sat up in bed stretching, a big grin on his face. This was the kind of life he could get used to! He told Jess he was going to grab a shower, thinking they could get in together. Karl was already idly thinking that they could perhaps have a little more fun under the water, but Jess just shook her head. She was naked, sprawled on top of the sheets, her face buried in a pillow. She mumbled that she would take one after him.
Karl just playfully swatted her firm behind, and then went to the bathroom.
Karl was only in the shower for a few minutes — just a quick rinse, really. His girlfriend had looked pretty sexy, laying in bed. It would be a shame to leave her alone for too long …
Still damp from the shower, naked, and with a huge erection leading his way, Karl walked back into the bedroom. He had a wide anticipatory smile on his face, already thinking that they had time for another quick bout of sex before dinner. When he got there though, Karl blinked, surprised at seeing Jess in the middle of getting dressed. She’d got into her bra and panties, and was hopping on one foot, trying to pull on her jeans. When she saw him — and his erect dick — her shoulders slumped. She dropped her jeans, and just stared at him. Jessica’s voice was thick with tiredness, her tone waspish, but the sting of her words was dull.
“… haven’t you had enough? I mean, I … can’t …”
Karl’s dick throbbed as he looked at Jessica. He felt like he towered over her, his eyes darting hungrily up and down her body. Karl tried to restrain himself.
“Sorry, I guess it’s been a bit crazy, Jess. You — I mean, we don’t have to.”
Jessica shivered as though she could feel the weight of his gaze. She licked her lips, acting like she hadn’t even heard him. Jessica slowly sunk down onto her knees in front of the bed. She looked up at Karl, blinking tiredly. There were dark rings under her eyes, and her hair was a tangled mess.
“You’re so hard …”
Jessica licked her lips again, reaching out with her hand. She wrapped her slim fingers around Karl’s shaft, immediately starting to jack him off. Her face swayed closer and closer, her expression growing more intent. Focused. Jessica took a deep breath, and then leant forward to take him between her lips.
Karl groaned, tangling his fingers in Jessica’s messy blonde hair. She was bobbing her head up and down on him. Gagging slightly every time she took him deep. She was looking up at Karl the entire time, her eyes shining. Her pink lips stretched wide as she sucked on his thick shaft.
Karl let his vision unfocus, tightening his grip on Jessica’s head. The hair wasn’t quite the right colour, but he imagined it was Alisha kneeling before him. Her hair he was holding. Her lips wrapped around his dick. Karl groaned louder, thrusting his hips against his girlfriend’s face. Jess coughed, spluttering slightly as he pushed the limits of what she could easily take. She made a muffled noise of protest, but if anything she started sucking Karl harder.
Karl started to thrust into Jessica’s mouth, using her harder than he ever had before. His girlfriend always treated oral sex as a reward for him, and had certainly never let him literally fuck her face before. Now she seemed to even be enjoying it.
Jessica clutched at Karl’s thighs, urging him on. Not even realising that her boyfriend was doing his best to imagine another woman making love to his dick.
That night, Karl’s dreams kept him tossing and turning in bed. He was aware of Jess laying next to him, deep in an exhausted slumber, but at the same time he was elsewhere. He could feel his girlfriend’s slight body in his arms, knew he was dreaming, but … he couldn’t wake up. His dreams were strange, chaotic — yet incredibly vivid. Shadowy, full of imagery that disturbed him … but also excited him. Karl tightened his arms around Jessica, his erection pressing into her bare ass … but his attention was on his dreams.
He was walking through inky blackness, cast adrift. Karl couldn’t have said if he was in a room, a vast cavern, or just amongst the endless void of nothingness. He was barefoot, and there was what felt like large flagstones underfoot. The stone was cold, deathly so. Karl walked forward, shivering — thinking it strange that he was cold, even in a dream.
It felt like he was approaching something, that he had a destination to get to. The world around and above him was still pitch black, but on the stone beneath his feet light was beginning to emerge. Glowing, ethereal symbols were taking shape — pulsing as he ed them. Their shapes hurt Karl’s head when he tried to focus on them, and he soon gave up. They were mesmerising, utterly indecipherable.
Karl got closer. The symbols seemed to shift, dancing beneath his feet. Their luminosity intensifying seemingly at random. They were bright, but didn’t illuminate anything — the darkness still held sway.
Suddenly Karl was … there. Where he had been travelling to.
Karl was standing in a room. He didn’t entering it, as was the strange nature of dreams, and he looked around — curious and apprehensive all at once. The chamber itself was ill-defined — like it wasn’t important in of itself. What took pride of place in the centre though, surrounded by those glowing eldritch symbols, was a bed.
It was huge, far larger than any bed Karl had ever seen. It had red satin sheets, the crimson richness stark against the stygian obscurity that surrounded it. The bedding seemed to glow with a luxurious sheen, screaming debauched decadence.
Upon the bed, slowly writhing and undulating, was a female figure. No, there were two women — both clad in wispy garments, touching and moving against one another. No, there were actually three — limbs entwined, hair entangled. Their hands clutching and pulling at the wine-dark sheets. Every time Karl blinked it changed.
Karl felt his groin stir as he watched the figures on the bed. Their backs arched, their breasts tipped with erect nipples, straining at the flimsy clothing that they wore. His mouth felt dry, and he couldn’t look away even if he wanted to. He didn’t recognise any of the women, but he kept seeing flashes — hints that reminded him of women he knew. They writhed, alone and together, a slow and sensual dance of promised desire.
Karl was panting, and his chest felt too tight. He couldn’t look away. The longer he watched, the more he realised there was something wrong with the women on the bed. Their hair was lank, sodden with sweat. Their faces tired and haggard. Dark circles around their eyes. The crimson from the sheets seemed to be staining their skin, turning their hands red as the colour moved up their arms. The symbols on the floor glowed brighter. A dark promise.
Karl’s head spun and he was falling. Falling forward towards the depraved scene in front of him. He couldn’t get away from it, it was too —
Karl woke up, groaning as the morning sun hit him in the eyes. He felt groggy and disorientated — a far cry from how he’d felt yesterday morning. Karl rolled over onto his side, reaching for Jessica, but frowned when his hand encountered nothing.
Propping himself up on his elbow, Karl looked blearily around the bedroom. He was the only person in the room. Karl called out, rubbing at his face.
“Jess?”
Karl levered himself out of bed, getting to his feet with a sigh. He’d overslept. It wasn’t too late in the morning, but the sun was well and truly risen. It didn’t explain where Jessica was though. He checked the bathroom, but she wasn’t there either.
Shrugging to himself, Karl took a shower. It didn’t really make him more alert, but he felt better. As he got dressed, he thought back on his dreams from last night. That had been a trip and a half. It had been a little nightmarish, but also hot in a fucked up way. Or it would have been if Karl had been able to wake up from it. It had felt like he had been trapped in that dream all night, reliving it over and over.
“… don’t even know what brought that on. We barely ate yesterday, so it couldn’t have been bad food. And I didn’t drink anything …”
Karl sighed, then went down the stairs. He was expecting to find Jess, maybe having a coffee in the kitchen, but she wasn’t there either. Karl was beginning to grow concerned. He was about to run outside, when he saw a note on the kitchen bench.
It was in Jessica’s handwriting.
‘Hey, needed a break for a bit. Going up the mountain. See you tonight. xx’
Karl stared at the note.
“What the fuck?”
She’d already left? Karl went to the front door and checked outside. Sure enough, his truck was gone. Karl was almost too surprised to be angry. Jess had never done something like this before. Why would she need a break?
“Unless she meant …”
Karl flushed, ing back to the day before. It was easier to think about it now. During their long day in bed, Karl had only been able to focus on his burning need. In his mind, Jess had been so willing, so ready to part her thighs for him over and over … but now he saw it differently. He didn’t know why, but now he could how tired Jess had been. How she had asked him over and over to ‘please come’. At the time Karl had taken it as just how into it his girlfriend had been. Now it took on the tone of her pleading with him to finish.
“What the fuck? Why wouldn’t she just say something to me?”
Even as he said it, Karl guiltily ed that she had. Many times. He just hadn’t listened … or, more accurately, he had been intent upon her body language rather than her words. But even if that was the case, why had she gone along with it so meekly? They’d spent the whole day in bed fucking! He hadn’t been keeping her there or threatening her. Why would Jess have stayed if she hadn’t wanted to?
Karl shook his head, completely nonplussed. He wasn’t big on feelings, or having difficult conversation, but if Jess had been here he would have sat her down and talked it out. He’d have to do so tonight. Karl would have gone after his girlfriend, but he had no way of following her without his truck. He tried calling her phone, but it went straight to voicemail. She’d either blocked him or had it on airplane mode.
After having a quick and meagre breakfast — he still needed to do an actual shop — Karls spent the morning aimlessly wandering around the house. He felt really out soft sorts, and it wasn’t just because of Jessica. He was restless, but without any desire to actually go and do something. He tried sitting on the sofa, tried reading, watching something on his phone. He even took another shower and tried to go back to sleep! Nothing worked. No matter what he did, Karl just ended up wandering around the cabin. The day went by in a confused daze.
After a while, Karl realised that it wasn’t as random as he thought. He kept coming back to the same spot in the cabin. A patch of floor in the corner of the main living room. He couldn’t help it; his feet kept carrying back to the same exact place. And there wasn’t anything even there!
Karl started to look around after the fourth time he ended up in that spot. It wasn’t against the wall, there was no marks on the floorboards beneath his feet, the ceiling was likewise uninteresting … nothing. The most noteworthy thing that was near him was the fireplace, and that was a good ten feet away! Karl crouched, intending to examine the floor closer, when something made him freeze. As he got lower, Karl felt … something. He couldn’t describe it, but it made the hair on the back of neck stand up.
“What the hell is going on here? I almost want to find that old guy and ask what he meant when he said this place was cursed. But that’s stupid, I don’t believe — gah!”
A loud noise made Karl jumped to his feet, his heart pounding. He laughed shakily in embarrassment when he realised it was just his phone in his pocket, sounding an alarm. He fumbled for it, trying to silence the loud chiming. He almost dismissed it without looking, having forgotten why he’d set it. Then it came back to him.
“Oh shit, Alisha. I forgot.”
Karl was tempted to cancel or at least reschedule his meeting with the blonde woman. The only thing that stopped him was that he didn’t actually have her number. Alisha had only given him her address, and the papers listing her work mobile were in the glove box of his truck. Karl checked the map on his phone. Her house wasn’t that far away. He could make it if he walked, but he’d have to leave immediately.
Karl sighed, and then got going.
The day outside was sunny and quite pleasant. The air was cool, but not the seeping cold that it had been yesterday morning. It was a perfect day to be outdoors, and the number of people that Karl could see out and about proved that. Just like before, everyone smiled and waved at him as he walked along the road towards Alisha’s house. This time however, Karl’s answering smiles were forced, and his waves back were slightly late. He felt … unsettled.
Like he was being watched.
Karl just couldn’t shake the feeling. He found himself turning his head constantly, peering off into the trees. Eyeing people suspiciously once they had ed. He tried to shake off the feeling — tried to rationalise it as just being out of sorts because of his haunting dreams.
Karl was so unsettled, that he blinked in surprise when he arrived outside the front of Alisha’s house. He barely even ed the walk.
Alisha’s house was a charming single story building set amongst the trees. There was a small front lawn, bordered by well-maintained hedges, and private enough that you couldn’t actually see the main road from her front porch.
Karl hesitated at the door, but before he could knock it was flung open.
“Karl! You made it, and right on time! No trouble finding the place?”
Alisha appeared in the doorway, beaming. Karl cleared his throat, returning her smile as best he could.
“Uh, yeah. Hi, Alisha. No, it was no trouble —”
Karl paused, staring. Alisha had been dressed casually the day before — at least in comparison to the business attire she had worn when he’d first met her. Today … she’d gone beyond that.
Alisha was wearing a simple tank top, pale cream in colour, and a pair of denim shorts. Karl couldn’t help but let his eyes drift downwards, taking in her shapely legs. She was barefoot as well. He jerked his eyes hurriedly upwards, but Alisha had caught him looking. Her cheeks had gone slightly pink, but the welcoming smile on her face hadn’t slipped at all.
Alisha reached out, taking Karl by the arm.
“Come in, come in. It’s a lot warmer inside. And on top of that, I have the most fantastic news! I really outdid myself this time.”
Karl let himself by pulled inside Alisha’s home. His arm was pres against the side of her chest. With a start, he realised that she wasn’t wearing a bra. Her tits bounced and swayed beneath her top, subtly moving against the fabric. Her breasts felt so soft, and to his chagrin, Karl felt his dick beginning to stir.
Alisha affected not to notice Karl’s reddening face. She pulled him over towards the living room sofa, keeping his arm brushing up against her breast.
“There, Karl. Take a seat. Can I get you a drink? Water? Something stronger? I’ll tell you what, I’ll get us some wine — I think you’ll be wanting to celebrate in a minute!”
Alisha beamed, and hurried off towards what Karl saw to be the kitchen. He watched her go, iring the way her hips and ass looked in the tight shorts she wore. Karl grabbed a cushion off of the sofa next to him, covering his lap. He made it only just in time as Alisha reappeared, holding two glasses and a bottle of wine.
“Red okay? I prefer it in this cooler weather. Now let me tell you what I’ve managed to organise!”
Alisha sat on the sofa next to Karl, close enough that her thigh was touching his leg. She beamed, leaning in closer still. One hand resting on his knee, her eyes sparkling.
“I’m about to be your new favourite person, Karl.”
