Celine Chapter 2

A few minutes had ed, and enough time for Adrian to regain his composure. He settled more comfortably into his seat, finally getting over the fact that the girl of his dreams was a matter of feet away, and his eyes had drifted down to his laptop screen. The first thing that hit him was the smell. A sweet, strawberry, sugary scent seemed to not quite fill the air, but subtly infused itself within it. It was incredible, relaxing, like a spa or sauna. Some air freshener the professor used? He looked up to see if he was spraying something

Their eyes met. Not the professor, but a girl standing next to him. She had just walked into the classroom. She was pale with incredibly flawless skin, save for spots of freckles under her eyes, not at all a bad thing. She had jet black bangs that ended in a ponytail behind her, but from just a glance he could tell that she could probably pull off any hairstyle, no matter the length or how full her hair needed to be. Her eyes were a deep, darkish blue with hints of, was that purple? Or pink? He didn’t know eyes could be purple. It looked too natural or subtle to be lenses. Whatever it was, it was beautiful, and he had seen anything like it. When he finally did manage to break eye , he soaked in the rest of her. And how much of her there was to see- he simply couldn’t believe what she was wearing. Accompanying a cute red backpack was black jean shorts and a square neck crop top. Had it not been for the shoulder coverings and the boob window, it would have been a sports bra. Was she wearing a push up bra? Whatever it was, it stood out from the sweatshirts and hoodies other girls -Dawn included- had chosen to go with for the crisp morning.

He had been looking for too long. But she was looking at him too. He took a quick look around, she had clearly caught the other boys’ attention. The girls, however, seemed to not even notice her. Normally he’d expect at least some of the girls to leer questioningly, the equivalent of raising an eyebrow and asking “really?”. He turned his attention back to the girl- it was hard not to. Adrian saw the professor, maybe frustrated, looking up at the new girl, as if he was about to say something. He looked the type to police young women on how promiscuously they were dressed. A real drill sergeant of English 101. Nearly silently, she turned to where their professor was seated, and put a hand to the side of her face, whispering something to him, before moving to take her seat. The professor turned back to face a newspaper he’d been reading on his desk, with a stupid, giddy look on his face. That was odd. No one else seemed to take note.

Adrian’s observation was cut short as the new girl came over and took the seat next to him. As she approached, that incredible scent of strawberries grew. It was definitely some perfume or soap she must have used. God, was he really that horny? That he was already thinking about what this girl was like in the shower? As she sat, he noted that their row of desks from left to right was now two empty spots, this new girl, himself, and Dawn. Did she go out of her way to take the seat next to him? Sure, he had with Dawn, but they had things to talk about. Things had gotten very interesting very fast.

“Psst”, he heard from his left. His left. The new girl. The girl that was giving the girl of his dreams, just one desk over, a run for her money.

He turned his head. Holy shit. From across the class her eyes seemed magical. But from here? Wow. He didn’t have a word for it. Freckles and eyeliner centered his vision into one of the most beautiful faces he had ever seen, let alone got this close to. As he looked into her eyes, he was correct. A subtle amethyst shade tinted her otherwise dark blue eyes. Looking closer, it seemed like pink sparkles shimmered around her face. The girl had a sly grin. She held up her hand next to the side of her mouth, as if to signal a whisper. Adrian turned and leaned his ear inward. She said something quick, something he didn’t quite catch. His eyes flashed downward. It was impossible not to. The shirt she wore pressed her tits up, and as she leaned forward, he found himself fixating on her chest. She whispered something to him. He was staring. In front of everybody. Why was he doing that? God, he probably looked so creepy right now. She whispered something else. He relaxed. It was probably fine. No one probably saw what he was doing. She probably didn’t even notice. He was being completely inconspicuous. She whispered something else. God, her body was beautiful. She whispered something else. He could barely hear her, he was about to ask her to repeat, when the professor called the class to attention. Adrian’s stare was cut off, returning to the front of the class.

The professor said a quick welcome, some quick formality, and began to call names.

“Adrian?” He Started.

“Here.” Adrian said. From the corner of his vision the new girl shot him a smile. Just learning his name- it didn’t mean anything.

“Alan?” The professor continued.

“Here.” Said someone, presumably an Alan, from the back of the class.

“Celine?” He continued.

“Here.” The girl to his left said. Celine. For some reason that name stirred something in him. It was beautiful. He latched onto it, he didn’t want to forget it. And her voice, it was beautiful. It was delicate but hit him like a rock.

“Dawn?” he said next.

“Here”, a sweet voice to his right added.

He sort of spaced out after that. Once the professor finished his hour-long introductory lecture, he let them off 15 or 20 minutes early. It was still the first day, after all. Adrian looked down to his laptop. At one point or another, he had started taking notes. He ed starting, but must have just auto-piloted after that. Couldn’t have been hard, given the professor’s droning on. He sat up a bit in his chair. Dawn was already standing up with her backpack on. She didn’t say anything, but they exchanged a ‘see you next class’ look. It was a start. It may have sounded wrong, but looking at her reminded him of the other beauty just to his left. He stood up out of his seat and turned. To his half-suprise, that beautiful set of eyes was already looking up at him expectantly. He was about to use the classic “[Name], right?” introduction that had worked oh so smoothly on Dawn earlier, but found it hard to force the words out.

Why was he staring? God this was so awkward of him. Someone like Margot Robbie wouldn’t even make him this stupid with just a look. Hell, Margot Robbie basically just sat to his right for an entire class, and that didn’t throw him off like this.

Celine was just different, though.

Those pink sparkles came back into his vision. It was beautiful. She was beautiful.

“You want to follow me”. She said. Was that a question? What kind of a question was that? It didn’t sound like a question. He did, he wanted to follow her, obviously. Wait, where? What did she mean?

They were in the hallway, and surely, she was in front of him. His eyes were glued to her. He hadn’t even had a chance to learn the campus layout that well. If he had to turn back, he would probably get lost and have to act for directions. But that wasn’t an issue, he wouldn’t have to turn back, or at least, he didn’t want to. Not right now, he wanted to follow Celine.

They made their way to a door. A dorm hallway? Celine got out her keys. The jingling got him out of whatever stupid lull the winding hallways had put him in. God he really wasn’t used to getting up at 7 am. Must still be adjusting.

“Got a girlfriend?” Celine said, unlocking her door.

Wow. He hadn’t been expecting that. Why was she asking? Did she have a thing for him? A bit direct, no? And a bit fast.

“It’s complicated”, he said.

Why? Why did he just lie? The answer was no, it was simple. That was pure instinct. He didn’t want to explain how he was looking to ask Dawn out some time, but wanted to say he was currently unavailable. Wait. Why was he even here, going into a girls dorm room? It was the first day, he had another class in a couple hours, shouldn’t he be at least settling into his schedule?

“Hm.” She said, as she unlocked the door. He followed her in.

“Set your stuff down wherever.” That was nice of her. He did so.

Adrian’s eyes floated around the room. He noted the contrast between Celine’s side of the room from the other, presumably her roommate’s. Celine’s side had a mirror, makeup, and a desk while the other girl’s had posters of bands and movies, and clothes already everywhere. His attention was cut short as that magical pair of his eyes intersected his line of vision, and his head drifted down to meet it.

“Hm. From now on. You don’t want to lie to me. You just can’t. One hundred percent honest with me. All the time”, she said. Of course he couldn’t, why would he be able to?

“And”, she added, “I want you to fall even deeper for me than in class. I understand that it was already hard not thinking of me, but now I want it to be bad”. As her mouth landed on the word bad, she widened her eyes and let a smile spread on her face. God, it was true. Holy shit. She was just perfect.

She held his hands and pulled him over to the small dorm bed as she got up into it.

“Up”, she said. That was enough, he got up into the bed, one leg at a time. She sat criss-crossed at the head, and Adrian sat awkwardly, somewhere between criss-crossed and kneeling, staring at her.

“Now Adrian, do you have a girlfriend?”.

“No”. He said. Obviously, he didn’t, that answer was easy.

“I thought so, you listen to me sooo well, and you make great eye ”, she said, somewhere between a snicker and a whisper. Of course he did.

She repositioned to lower herself down onto the bed, letting her legs extend, with her back resting on a few pillows propped up against the head of the bed.

“Lay down”, she said. “Rest your head here”. She pointed to her chest. Or, rather, to the boob window. He did. He was on his side “Close your eyes for me”. He did. She got close to his ear. “You believe everything I say”, she explained. Of course he did. She wasn’t a liar, he could, he should, trust her. Completely. “Adrian. I am a very special girl. Just like you get your energy from food, I get my energy from love. Other people’s love. For me. People like me used to be everywhere. Now my mom says there’s only a few of us left, so we need people like you. Dedicated people. To help feed us. That all makes perfect sense, right?”.

He thought for a moment. So, she was what, a demon? A succubus? He thought for a moment. Yeah, that checked out. Demons and stuff were real, right? They always had been. That made complete sense. Nothing out of the ordinary. She was a 19 year old succubus, probably starting college at the same time he did. He needed to help her.

“Yes”. He said, his cheek smushed against her skin, eyes still closed, resting.

“Good”, she continued. “Now. You’re not supposed to know that. I’m gonna help you. All that information is deep down in your brain. Deep down you believe in things like monsters, and you understand what I am and that you want to help me. But up here”, she tapped his forehead, “there is no such thing as monsters. You simply want to help me because I’m just such a special girl”. He thought about it for a moment. She was normal, she was, of course, just a special girl. “You can fall even more asleep for me”. He did. “And guess what, from all this help you are giving me, I can make it worth your while”. Of course she could.

“Tell me, who’s the hottest girl you’ve ever seen, or, like the biggest crush you’ve ever had”.

That was easy.

“You”, he said, again with his lips smushed against her body.

She quietly giggled. “Before me”.

Ugh, that was going to make things harder. It wasn’t a complicated answer, he just didn’t want to think of any other girls right now. An answer quickly shot above the rest.

“Dawn Miller”. He said.

“The girl from class earlier? You fall quickly for anyone, don’t you?”, she laughed.

“We went to…highschool…together”. Big sentences were too big of distractions from soaking in Celine right now. 5 words was too much.

“I see. Well. This should be fun then. For the next 15 minutes, I’m Dawn”.
