The Association

“That’s the last one,” Abby huffed, dropping the last cardboard box onto the hardwood floor as the moving van sped away. She kicked the door closed behind her, and with a dramatic deep breath, she let her arms drop limply from exhaustion in a playfully histrionic performance and looked at Jeremy with a look of sweet relief. She ran the back of her forearm across her brow, adding a whew for good measure.

Jeremy grinned at his adorable bride. “Are you about done?” he asked.

Abby answered him by pretending to buckle then collapsed to the ground of exhaustion, lying with her arms draped over her torso and her tongue hanging out like a cartoon character playing dead. Jeremy saw this as an opportunity to pounce on her and squeeze both of her vulnerable unguarded knees, which, as he was well aware, were her most ticklish spots. The playful couple were quickly dissolving into a fit of giggles on the floor of their new home.

The wrestling match ended with a quick peck on the lips, and Jeremy then helped to pull Abby back to her feet by her extended arms.

“I don’t know what you’re being dramatic about—I carried in all of your painting supplies,” Jeremy pointed out. “That alone is about 4 tons of weight.”

She lightly swatted at his arm. “It is not.”

“You have every shade of every color imaginable—more than the crazy variety of flowers in front of houses on the cul-de-sac—but are you ever going to paint anything other than a red barn in a green pasture?”

Abby twisted her arms in front of her and dug her toe into the ground, then looked away while guiltily shrugging her shoulders. “It’s my happy place…” she explained. Her cuteness only melted Jeremy’s heart as he pulled his wife close and planted a loving kiss on her lips.

When they released, Abby was bouncing with energy. “Oooooo—let’s arrange the furniture!” she said with a manic smile.

Jeremy laughed. “I could really use some lunch first…”

Fur-ni-ture! Fur-ni-ture!” Abby laughed, bouncing up and down with each syllable of her pretend brattiness.

“Now calm yourself or I’m gonna give you a spanking…”

Abby snickered and cocked up one eyebrow. She raised her shoulder in a way that she was peeking over it, “Is that a promise?”

Jeremy knew his wife and he knew that she would be reasonable once the current excitement subsided, and he was right—within 30 seconds, she agreed that, yes, food was crucial right now.

They both had a reason to be overly happy and excited: this was their first home. They had fallen in love with Ivy Falls after a brochure showed up at their apartment. One scheduled open-house tour later and they found themselves g the dotted line. From now on, the Payne’s would call 1120 Arbor Circle their home. A quaint cul-de-sac dotting the end of a long empty road. Only four other homes surrounded them. Another subdivision lay on the other side of some thick woods, but the road that led to their home was empty for miles. It felt as private as you could get.

It was perfect for Abby and Jeremy.

According to their closest friends, Abby and Jeremy were the quintessential “perfect” couple. They met in a donut shop when Abby had dropped her coffee and chocolate sprinkled donut on the floor once taking a mere two steps from the after paying. The loss of her caramel latte had been disastrous, but it had led a lone-dining and charming young man to spring up from a nearby table and rush to her side to help her pick it up. “Tell you what—a replacement is on me,” the stranger had offered with a friendly smile.

Abby and Jeremy were inseparable since.

When Abby’s first art show was cancelled due to stormy weather, Jeremy had been the one to show up to help her quickly remove her paintings before the first rain drops could touch them. He had also been the shoulder she cried on when informed that the show would not be rescheduled. Since then, Abby had been the centerpiece of many art shows and sold a good number of her signature “barn” paintings—mostly to hotels and dentist offices, but not exclusively. Enough people had bought iterations of Abby’s “happy place” that she felt like a successful artist. Abby’s red barns hung from the walls of their closest friends’ living quarters as well as their closest friends’ dermatologists’ waiting rooms.

Leaving all of that behind to move across the country had felt like the riskiest of plunges. Being completely alone in a new location—no family or friends from hundreds of miles—felt both exhilarating and terrifying. What made it easier: they had each other.

Abby was also an established cook, specifically a “baker.” Sweets were Jeremy’s weakness and his sweet little wifey was always ready to give her man a warm tummy of cupcakes and cookie dough. If Abby had a confirmed “love language,” it was gift-giving; and a tray of warm, soft cookies was her favorite gift to give.

“What should we eat?” Jeremy asked.

As if arriving to provide an answer, a knock at the door echoed through the furniture-less home. Without waiting, the visitor opened the front door and leaned inside.

“Hellooo?” came the soft voice. The surprise guest was an older woman with long blonde hair—looking to be in her late-30s, so old to the mid-20s couple.

“Oh!” Abby said, surprised. She looked to Jeremy with wide eyes that said, What the hell? “Hello! Um…nice to...meet you! We, uh, just moved in,” she explained.

The visitor smiled, clearly at ease among the frazzled young couple. “I know who you are,” she said, her voice silky smooth and full of confidence. “I’m Rosemary Pierce—my husband, Hugo, and I developed Ivy Falls—as well as Iris Falls on the other side of the trees there.”

“Oh!” Abby repeated, though now in a more relaxed tone. “We were wondering what other neighborhood was over there. Well, nice to meet you! We’re so excited to be a part of the…community!” She laughed nervously, trying her hardest to make a good first impression.

Jeremy smiled warmly and nodded in agreement.

Rosemary returned the pleasantries. “Have the two of you eaten yet?” Jeremy and Abby eagerly indicated that they had not, which elicited another calm grin from Rosemary. “Well, I wanted to invite you to our home—Hugo and I always have a lunch gathering at our pool with the neighbors at noon on Wednesdays. Won’t the two of you please us? It’ll give you a chance to meet everyone else.”

“Perfect!” Jeremy exclaimed, now more starving than when he first brought up food. “Lead the way!”

* * *

The get-together had the food Jeremy and Abby were looking for, but an uneasy feeling hit the two of them within the first five minutes of the pool party.

Rosemary and Hugo, dressed in elegant, flowing, summer loungewear, each looked the part of the captain and co-captain of the neighborhood. They lived in one of the four other homes, yet something about them felt like they were “in charge”—whatever way someone could be “in charge” of a subdivision.

Also present was Selina Emmanuel and her husband Gabe—who hardly spoke during the gathering.

Selina was not dressed for the occasion. Wearing all black, complete with boots, fishnets, and a tightly-bound corset, she had a very stern countenance about her. She’s so tall, Abby thought. There was an unmistakable intimidating quality to Selina’s looming presence—as if she were ready to stomp anyone under her shiny black knee-high boots that crossed her. She stood behind Gabe, who was seated in a wicker lounger, with her hand clamped down on top of his shoulder—as if he would need to ask Selina’s permission to get up.

Keisha O’Neill was more approachable, and seemed much more relaxed around her husband Troy. The two of them seemed to be best friends—but not in the same way that Jeremy and Abby were. Keisha wore a football jersey with the name ‘Olson’ on the back—“my favorite player!” Troy had commented to Jeremy, like he was showing off a luxury sports car instead of his wife. Keisha had chugged a beer and pumped her fist in the air, then laughed through a mouthful of pistachios, saying, “Fuck yeah—Olson is #1 in the whole damn league!” The couple had high-fived like frat brothers then Keisha had asked him if he wanted another beer. Troy had simply nodded and slapped her ass, saying, “You know it, chick!” Abby expected Keisha to smack him for embarrassing her, but was shocked to hear Keisha just laugh it off and comment on how he should “save some of that for later”. She thought back to Jeremy’s playing threat of a spanking earlier—however, Abby would’ve been mortified to have such an intimate interaction in front of strangers.

Keisha seemed totally cool with it though…

Abby felt an immediate connection to Brooke Hart though. Wearing a cute yellow sundress, Brooke smiled politely while standing with her husband Chris. Abby found it endearing how Brooke generally kept her hands behind her back in a shy approachable manner.

“So, have you guys lived in the neighborhood long?” Jeremy asked Chris.

It had seemed a simple question, so Abby was confused to see Chris smile uncomfortably and look back at Brooke, who just giggled and stayed quiet. Finally, Chris relented, “You could say we’re new.”

That’s a weird answer, Abby thought, but brushed it off as typical social awkwardness. Off to the side, Keisha was talking sports stats with Hugo and Troy. That’s when Abby noticed something else odd about all of these wives: they were all very curvy. As Keisha rambled on about which players were legends, and which were “fuckin’ bums,” she jutted her chest out as if she were purposely giving the men a show while she held their rapt attention with her sports knowledge.

It was even obvious that Brooke was hiding some impressive mammaries under her flowing sundress, despite her short frame. Whenever she leaned down, a deep valley of cleavage revealed itself, much to Chris’ delight. Jeremy would quickly look to Abby with wide eyes anytime this happened. What a cutie, Abby thought, as she watched with amusement as her husband awkwardly attempted to not let his eyes wander.

“Would you like me to get you something to drink, honey?” Brooke asked her husband in a squeaky innocent voice.

Chris smiled and took a seat. “Sure—a beer sounds great,” he said with a relaxed sigh.

Brooke smiled at Jeremy and Abby. “Of course, dear. I’ll be quick!” She quickly skipped off to fetch her hubby his beverage.

“Oh!” Jeremy said to Chris, “Could you ask her to grab me one too—since she’s going that way already…?”

Abby rolled her eyes and smiled, not surprised that Jeremy would eventually cave on having a beer. However, she quickly forgot about it as she saw the look in Chris’ eye. It wasn’t surprise or shock—it was panic. He turned over his shoulder and opened his mouth to get Brooke’s attention.

Hey! Uh…!” Chris stammered. Nervously laughing, he looked back at Jeremy and Abby.

Abby watched him with great interest, trying to piece together what the problem was. Then, it finally hit her. He’s forgotten her name, Abby realized. He’s forgotten his own wife’s name. What the hell…?

“Brooke?” Abby finished for him, ing since she was always good with names. Jeremy picked up on what had just happened and watched with a mixture of amusement and concern.

Chris just laughed it off and nodded. “Brooke!” he called, causing his wife to turn around. “Grab Jeremy a beer too, would ya?”

Jeremy’ you … Abby thought. Brooke gave a thumbs up and retrieved the two beers. She stood next to Chris’ chair and held his arm when she returned. Jeremy couldn’t help but noticed that Chris didn’t bother to offer Brooke to take his chair.

Looking up, Abby saw that Selina and her husband were walking off. Selena had her hand on the back of his neck, as if she were leading him away. “I’m taking this one home,” she said, sternly. Abby couldn’t help but notice the obviously look of pure pleasure on Gabe’s face as he was taken away, out the wooden fence gate of the Pierce’s backyard pool area.

“Those two,” Hugo laughed as he ed the table.

“They’re quite a pair,” Jeremy commented to fill the awkward silence. He looked up to see Keisha opening making-out with Troy off to the side next to the guacamole dip. His eyebrows raised as he watched Troy run his hand underneath Keisha’s burgundy football jersey to grope her tits. “Er, uh…” Jeremy stuttered as he watched the shameless couple. “Those too, huh?”

Hugo and Rosemary turned to see them what was taking place. Rosemary laughed, “Now, now—Troy, we’ve talked about this.”

Troy came to his senses and removed his hands from his wife’s chest. “Sorry, I forget that other people get a little uncomfortable with PDA,” he said with a confident smirk. “Keisha doesn’t mind—do you, babe?”

Keisha laughed, “Psh—fuck nah—they just titties. Toss me a beer, dude.”

“Keisha’s just one of the guys,” Troy explained as he grabbed a cold bottle from the cooler, then grabbed one more and lobbed it to his wife. She caught it one-handed and then wedged the top of the bottle against the edge of the table. With her free hand, she slammed her palm down on top of it, causing the cap to fling off and the bottle overflow with suds. The white foam overflowing from the tip of the bottle ran down the sides and covered her gripping hand.

Keisha held it up and laughed, “What’s this remind you of, Troy?” The pair laughed at her simulated bottle handjob before she tilted it back, chugging it down with expertise.

“What do you do for living, Troy?” Jeremy asked, ready to change the subject.

Troy took a seat at the table. “Sales,” he answered smugly, then held his bottle out. “Do mine too, babe.” Keisha waltzed up behind him and performed the same trick again. Troy took a swig. “You?”

“Well, I was in marketing at our old place—so I’m looking for something new now,” Jeremy explained, then pointed to Abby. “She’s the moneymaker for the family though.”

“Well, what do you do for a living?” Hugo jumped in, looking at Abby.

“Oh, I’m an artist—a painter actually.”

Hugo nodded. “Oh wow, a painter… Is it portraits, or…?”

“Barns,” Abby said with an embarrassed self-conscious laugh. “I only paint barns. Jeremy pokes fun at me, but that’s just what I like to paint.”

Brooke continued to nod and smile quietly as she listened.

“It’s my happy place,” Abby explained, punctuating with another nervous laugh.

“You make enough from…that?” Troy asked, with a touch of disbelief.

“Well, I did in the city,” Abby itted. “I’ll need to figure out something going forward…”

After being quiet most of the day, Brooke finally spoke up. “Oh, I’m sure you’ll make some great connections here.” She squeezed Chris’ hand lovingly, only reminding Abby again of how he had forgotten her name. “This is such a wonderful community. No one ever locks their doors!” Brooke said with a grin.

Abby returned the smile. “Oh, that’s good. The apartment complex Jeremy and I lived in before had a few break-ins, so it’s good that you all feel so comfortable to—”

“No,” Brooke interrupted. “No one is allowed to lock their doors.” Abby blinked in Brooke’s direction, trying her best to comprehend such a notion. Then, Brooke added, “Association rules…”

Jeremy and Abby gave each other an uneasy glance, before Abby chimed in. “What ‘Association’?”

Rosemary stepped forward. “Well, yes—I suppose we do need to cover a few things with the Homeowner’s Association.” Ah, of course, Abby thought. She probably could’ve guessed the next thing Rosemary said. “Hugo and I are the president and co-president of the Association.”

So you are in charge, she told herself.

“I love how all of the houses have different types of flowers planted in the front yard,” Jeremy commented. “That must be a rule?”

“We prefer variety,” Hugo explained. “It keeps the neighborhood looking unique and interesting. So—yes—no doubling-up.” Hugo added a jovial laugh to make these Draconian laws sound casual, but already it felt like the neighborhood was taking a dark turn.

“What other rules are there?” Abby asked, apprehensively.

“Well, why don’t we save that talk for tonight’s dinner party?” Rosemary asked the group, eliciting an approving nod from Hugo. Brooke smiled, excited, and patted Chris’ hand. Keisha and Troy also appeared to be on-board. “It’s fun—we do it every Wednesday—rotating hosting jobs. Selina and Gabe should be finished with their…activities by then—I do believe it’s their turn to host.”

Abby’s smile was less polite now. “Every Wednesday, huh? Like the pool party lunch?”

Rosemary’s smile was also losing its politeness. She smiled the way one might imagine a spider would smile at a fly. “Exactly,” she said.

Abby stared at her hostess. “Is that an…Association rule?”

Rosemary grinned, but didn’t answer. The answer was clear.

Hugo broke the tension. “Would anyone like more sandwiches brought out—?”

“Is there a bathroom inside?” Abby asked, interrupting.

“Of course,” Rosemary said. “Just inside there, to the right and down the hall.”

Abby couldn’t get away quick enough. She needed a second to collect her thoughts. Once she was securely in the bathroom, she glanced around, checking in the drawers and cabinets for anything with answers, but finding nothing. She heard someone outside the door, walking in the hallway, then fading away. Self-conscious that she was taking too long, Abby exited quietly.

A shadow moved across the floor further down the hallway, cast from inside an ading room. Tip-toeing, Abby peeked around the corner and found Hugo inside a small office. He was bent over an open filing cabinet, arranging folders inside a drawer. Startled by Abby’s presence, he shoved the folder down and then slammed the drawer closed. “Who’s there?” he asked, spinning around.

Abby forced an innocent laugh. “Oh, I got turned around coming out of the restroom—is the backyard door this way?” It was obvious that Hugo was uneasy with Abby standing there—and it was also very clear that he was protective of that filing cabinet. He stood in front of it like a determined goalie.

Raising his hand, Hugo pointed. “It’s that way,” he said, a noticeable shake in his voice.

Abby left him to his business and quickly made her way to the backyard. Keisha and Troy were making out in the pool, and neither of their hands were visible. Grabbing Jeremy’s hand, Abby pulled him up from his seat. “I think we’re gonna head back home now—thank you so much for your hospitality, Mrs. Pierce.” Jeremy, confused but not protesting, followed behind his wife. “Tonight at the Selina and Gabe’s, right? That’s the…”

“It’s the one to our left,” Rosemary explained.

Brooke smiled sweetly, “It was nice meeting you both!”

Jeremy and Abby returned the sentiment and quickly left the backyard. On their trek back home, they dropped the put-upon pleasantries finally.

“There’s something so weird about this neighborhood, Jeremy.”

Walking quickly beside her, Jeremy nodded. “Yeah, you’re right. This is not… This isn’t normal.”

“I need to do something tonight during this party—but you’ll need to help me out. I’ll explain when we get inside.”

* * *

The dinner party started off normal, but quickly became a repeat of the pool party. Keisha was drunk early into the night after challenging everyone to do shots with her. Troy was quick to his wife and, before long, they were tonguing each others’ mouths on the couch with roaming hands.

Gabe sat stiffly in a small chair pulled up close to Selina, who sat comfortably in a spacious fluffy lounger. She was draped in a long black lacy gown. “We really appreciate you all coming tonight,” she purred. “Aren’t we, dear?” Abby noticed that Selina was squeezing her husband’s hand rather tightly as she addressed him.

“Yes,” he answered obediently. “We are.”

“Gabe, be a dear and refill my drink for me,” Selina ordered.

Gabe looked confused. “But, um—dear, I just filled it up for you a moment ago—”

“Excuse us.” Abruptly, Selina stood up from her chair and yanked Gabe along behind her. She led him around the corner to a dark hallway and disappeared.

Abby watched this in astonishment. Disappeared again, she thought. The pool party was odd enough, but this was different. Weird way to host a dinner party.

Brooke had brought a cake that she had baked since the pool party, including fresh fruit to go with it. Abby noticed that she had changed into a red-and-white gingham dress. Chris watched proudly as his wife cut slices for everyone, saving the biggest for him. She pinched off a bite with the edge of a fork and held it up to her husband’s mouth. My god, she’s actually feeding him, Abby thought, trying not to let her jaw drop too low. “Would you like a foot rub, dear?” Brooke then asked with her princess smile on display.

Chris, his mouth full, didn’t even mumble an answer. Instead, he just propped his feet up on the coffee table and took the plate from his wife’s hands to continue eating. Brooke got down on the carpet and went to work while everyone watched.

Hugo and Rosemary looked on like proud parents.

Abby noticed their expression and kept a curious eye on them. Her curiosity increased when she noticed Chris give the Pierce’s a subtle thumbs-up, then shove another forkful of cake into his mouth.

Awkwardly, Abby and Jeremy sipped their punch and tried to look in any direction except for the couple making out or the amateur masseuse on the floor.

“Such a fun party,” Abby commented. Jeremy could hear the sarcasm in his wife’s voice and he hoped that no one else was able to. He gave his wife a quiet tap with his foot as if to say ‘don’t cause any waves…’.

“Would you like to host next week?” Rosemary asked.

Abby choked on her drink, pulling it away from her mouth. “Excuse me!” she coughed. To dodge the question, she pointed to her drink, “Sorry this is just so good! Honey—um, dear—would you like for me to get you a refill?”

“Oh, uh…well, it’s not really empt—” Jeremy stuttered obliviously.

“I’d be happy to,” Abby said, cutting him off and snatching his cup from his hand. She looked to the Pierces with a grin, “Excuse me.” Abby then walked off with her husband’s cup, playing the part of the doting wife, which seemed to be the norm around here.

In Selina and Gabe’s kitchen, Abby found herself alone again. Like the Pierce’s bathroom, nothing seemed glaringly out of the ordinary.

That’s when she heard a bit of commotion coming from the dark hallway jutting off from the kitchen, further into the bowels of the house. She splashed the remainder of the punch into the sink and then set the empty cups down on the counter. Keeping her eyes trained on the darkness of the hallway, she stepped into it.

Following the murmur of the commotion, Abby wound her way down the hallway to find the source to be coming from behind a closed bedroom door—an almost closed bedroom door. A small crack remained against the door frame as it sat slightly ajar. Holding her breath, Abby leaned close and peeked inside.

She quickly clamped her hand over her mouth to keep from gasping too loudly at what she saw. Selina was straddling Gabe, who was completely naked, on a bed. Her black gown was bunched up in her arms and her big bare asscheeks were hugging his face.

She’s sitting on him, Abby observed.

“If you wanted air, you shouldn’t have smarted off to me in front our friends…” Selina said, her voice calm and smooth.

Abby was shocked. She’s suffocating him, Abby thought, but then noticed Gabe’s erect penis pointed straight up at the ceiling. He was loving it.

“Are you going to be a good boy when we go back out there?” Selina asked, reaching behind her and stroking his stiff cock.

Yeth mistreth…” came the pitiful muffled reply from under her ass.

“You about to cum?” she asked with indifference.

Yeth mistreth…

Abby watched, horrified and intrigued all at once, as Selina quickened her stroking pace —and then suddenly stopped.

“Only good boys are allowed to cum,” Selina seethed, then slapped his dick. It waggled back and forth in the air until coming to a stop. “Now get your clothes on and get back out there. Maybe I’ll let you jerk off later tonight if you behave yourself…” She rolled off of him and pulled her leather pants back on. Gabe was flushed and squirming as he rolled off the bed to do as he was told.

He was smiling the whole time.

As Gabe sat on the edge of the bed, Selina leaned down to him with a smile and kissed him deeply. “Is that what hubby likes?” she asked.

Gabe, practically drooling, nodded. “Oh yes…

That was enough. Abby quickly removed herself from the doorway so as not to get caught. In a rush, she made it back to the kitchen and then returned to the living room, where Jeremy was still engaged in conversation with the Pierce’s. Keisha and Troy had turned on a football game and were both cheering and jeering at the refs calls. “What a fuckin’ moron!” Keisha yelled, throwing potato chips at the screen. Troy agreed and squeezed his wife’s thigh, pulling her close to him. With a chuckle, Keisha said, “Dude, at halftime, you’re gettin’ a blowjob in the bathroom...”

“Where’s my drink?” Jeremy asked, once Abby had ed him.

Abby looked at him confused. “Your wha—? Oh! Right, that,” Abby searched for a good excuse but came up short of anything convincing so she figured bailing out of the conversation would work again. “I couldn’t find it, but—actually, dear—I need to run back to our house. I think I left the oven preheating for those cookies you wanted…”

Jeremy wasn’t confused this time. They had talked about this: Abby’s plan. The couple were all but winking at each other.

“Sure thing, babe,” he said. “I’ll wait here.”

“We’ll explain the rules of The Association to him while you’re gone,” Hugo said with a grin.

Abby almost felt guilty leaving Jeremy along at that party, but she knew that this would be the perfect opportunity. She had to know tonight. She had to know if they should be booking place tickets back to their original home tonight. Something fishy was going on in Ivy Falls and Abby was determined to find out. She also had a pretty good idea where to find her answers.

Under the soft glow of the moon above, Abby furtively made her way along the curb of the cul-de-sac until she was able to blend back into the shadows and creep back through the wooden fence gate of the Pierce’s now-empty backyard.

* * *

The Pierce’s home was dark and quiet. Abby could feel her pulse tapping against her skin as the fear and excitement of the moment hit her. She was actually sneaking into Rosemary’s house to look for an answer to this insane neighborhood. Slipping in through the unlocked backdoor, her pupils dilated as her eyes adjusted to the darkness.

Snooping… was the word running through Abby’s mind as she tiptoed through the living room and headed for the office.

Hugo had been very protective of the filing cabinet. There’s something there, she told herself any time she began to lose her nerve and consider heading back out the way she came. They would all still be at the dinner party—and hopefully Jeremy was keeping them occupied. This window of time could be the best opportunity she would have to get to the bottom of this.

Entering the office, she approached the filing cabinet and studied the lock. There was a place for a small key.

No one ever locks their doors! Brooke had said.

With her hopes low, Abby gripped the cabinet handle and pulled. She couldn’t believe it when it easily slid open.

Jackpot, Abby thought.

Greeting her inside the metal cabinet drawer was a long row of file folders. Flipping through them with two fingers, Abby scanned the labels. They were random names.

Gretchen.

Terri.

Helen.

Stephanie.

Keish—

“Keisha…” Abby read out loud. Glancing quickly at the other folders, she saw that there was one for Brooke and Selina too. Pulling Keisha’s folder out, she opened it up and her breath immediately caught in her throat.

Abby choked on air as she tried to make sense of what her eyes were seeing.

It was a photo of Keisha, but she looked like…a professor or something. Stuffy glasses, her hair in a bun, and a tense scowl on her face. She was sitting at a desk, seemingly hard at work with a book on European History open in front of her. The photo had the aesthetic of a candid shot—as if a private detective had taken it.

The hell…? Abby thought.

The rest of the file was full of an assortment of forms and official looking documents. Driver’s license copies, deeds and titles, birth certificates… Abby stuffed everything back into the folder and slid it back into place.

Grabbing Selina’s file, she opened it to find a blonde soccer mom wearing pink cowboy boots—but unmistakably Selina. She had a big beaming smile on her face as she was walking through a green park. It was a stark difference to stern dominatrix sitting on Gabe’s face.

Then, she picked up Brooke’s file. Brooke was the closest thing to a potential friend she had in this strange neighborhood. Abby was apprehensive to ruin it, but she had to know what was going on. Brooke’s file contained photos of a tattooed and pierced girl, dressed all in studded leather and spiked boots. The photo was taken at a crowded concert venue. It was definitely the Brooke that Abby had met that afternoon, except this version of Brooke had an aggressive twisted sneer and her fists clenched like she was ready to fight someone for fun.

Putting the folders back, Abby had seen enough. She didn’t understand what any of this meant, but she had seen enough. She was ready to get Jeremy out of that house and speed away.

Only something caught Abby’s attention that made her pause.

A single folder in the back of the cabinet with another name on it: hers. Seeing her own name on a folder made her blood run cold. She slowly pulled it free from the drawer and thumbed it open. A single photo sat inside and she instantly recognized it as a photo from her social media. She was smiling and holding up a tray of cookies.

“We didn’t worry about getting other photos of you.”

Abby yelped and spun around, dropping the folder.

Rosemary was standing behind her, wearing a green lingerie set. Abby was too surprised and scared to Rosemary’s attire as out of the ordinary. In the past few hours, Abby had seen many things out of the ordinary. Right now, she just wanted out of his house.

“What is all this?” she asked.

Rosemary smiled. “That’s Ivy Falls, Abby,” she said calmly. “Iris Falls is in another cabinet—all of the men are in those homes.”

Abby wasn’t following—nothing was making sense. “‘The men’?”

Rosemary laughed as she continued taking small steps towards Abby. “It’s a service, Abby. All of it. Ivy Falls provides our guests with a chance to experience a life they always wanted—including a devoted spouse to go along with it. The idyllic suburban household with just the right ‘wife experience’ as a bonus. The men you met today, Abby: Troy, Chris, Gabe… They’ll be gone tomorrow morning, flying out—back to their normal lives. The new husbands for the week are scheduled to drop in tomorrow afternoon. We’ll have Keisha, Brooke, and Selina all adjusted in time and they’ll treat their new husbands as if they’d been married for decades—all with the requested personality and other customizations. They even take on their new husband’s last name for the week.”

Abby shook her head, backing up as Rosemary continued to advance. “I don’t understand…”

“Troy comes back every year and stays with Keisha,” Rosemary explained with a laugh. “Her type is his favorite. Some regulars switch it up year to year just to get the varied experiences—but not Troy. He even sends us the jersey he wants her to wear with his favorite player on it. We do the rest—we make her just as obsessed with sports as he is. Keisha stays booked solid for years in advance. A lot of lonely men want the ‘cool wife’ experience. Someone that’ll blow them then share a cold one and a basket of chicken wings while ranking the best kung-fu movies of all-time.”

Abby’s eyes were wide with fear as she listened. Keisha’s just one of the guys…

“That’s Keisha’s thing,” Rosemary went on. “Selina’s thing is—”

Dominant…” Abby said, mostly to herself as she began to piece everything together. The image of Selina sitting on Gabe’s face flashed in her mind.

Is that what hubby likes…

“And Brooke’s thing is the ‘sweet little wifey’ — the cute girl next door that bakes cookies and gives her husband a handjob under the bedsheets while she giggles, embarrassed at how ‘naughty’ she’s being… Chris is new this year. In her mind, they’ve been married for years, but Chris just met her six days ago. I don’t think they did much besides fuck for first few days—ha! He’ll be back next year I’m sure. Brooke’s regular for this time of year is no longer with us—heart issues, poor old bastard. He always loved how Brooke would give his wrinkled balls a loving tongue bath. He’d been using her a couple times a year since we first got ahold of Brooke and transformed her. She used to be quite a firecracker…”

Abby thought back to Brooke’s photo from filing cabinet and her raging expression. Then, she ed Chris forgetting Brooke’s name at the pool party.

It all made sense now…

When Rosemary had almost reached Abby, she shoved her way past the lingerie-clad woman and ran for it. She had made it to the kitchen before Rosemary, impossibly fast, caught up to her and grabbed Abby’s wrist.

“We have many rules in this neighborhood, Abby…”

Rosemary’s grip felt warm. To Abby’s horror, Rosemary’s eyes took on a bright pink glow. Abby tried to scream out, but it caught in her throat and all that was produced was a breathless, hoarse gasp.

“One is a rule about flowersssss…” Rosemary hissed.

We prefer variety, Abby ed Hugo saying. No doubling-up.

“We already have a ‘sweet little wifey,’ Abby,” Rosemary explained as the pink glow grew more intense and, within seconds, she felt it begin to infect her own eyes. “Our guests have requested a new option and, Abby, you’re going to fulfill that request—that’s why we brought you here. Once Hugo’s done explaining the rules of The Association to Jeremy, he’ll have the opportunity to cooperate. Hell—Keisha’s original husband found the whole concept incredibly hot. He signed his name to a contract right away and he still books her for a week every October. If he comes running over here to attempt to ‘rescue’ you…well… Jeremy will be getting a similar treatment and moving to Iris Falls… That’s where Selina’s first husband is.”

Abby felt the pink in her head—it was like an intense heat that filled her skull. It made her instantly feel weak and helpless. How is she doing this… Abby thought.

“The ladies like to have try-out different husbands,” Rosemary said. “What kind of husband should we make Jeremy…?”

Please, no, Abby thought.

“Having a power such as mine, it didn’t take long for Hugo and I to figure out how to capitalize on it. Creating Ivy Falls was the answer. Ivy Falls gives people joy, Abby—some men want a sweet little wifey for a week…”

Fight her off, Abby, she told herself as she attempted to muster up the strength. Push her away…

“…some men want a ‘cool wife’…”

Be strong!

“…some men want a ‘domineering mommy-wife’…

Don’t let her in!

Rosemary leaned close and pressed her forehead against Abby’s as the pink glow fully filled up Abby’s brain. Then, said, “…and some men just want a slutty wife that’s too shallow and dumb to think about anything except her husband’s dick…”

The pink disappeared from Rosemary’s eyes as the glow infected Abby’s helpless mind. The urge to fight was present but she couldn’t access it anymore. She felt like a pinned insect, futilely struggling behind glass. She thought of Jeremy still at the party.

He’ll come for me… she thought. Jeremy… Please hurry…

Abby felt her thoughts beginning to slow down. Slowly, a feeling of acceptance was making itself known. Abby began to consider the fact that she was about to change into exactly what Rosemary had planned. The pictures of Selina, Keisha, and Brooke popped into her head and she realized…

I’m fading, Abby thought lazily.

Abby felt a single tear drop from her glowing eyes—then dry up.

Oh god, I’m fading away…

She was surprised by how accepting she became of it, and so quickly. The fight for her life—her soul—was surrendered after a brief glimpse of the peace that was awaiting her under Rosemary’s power.

The tingling then began to spread from underneath Rosemary’s finger tips. The pins and needles traveled down her neck and fanned outward, like a warm shawl being draped over her shoulders. Concurrently, her lips and cheeks began to tingle as well, then her nose, then her ears. Soon, her scalp was a bees nest of prickly stings—which quickly turned into soothing raindrops.

It felt lovely.

A soft smile sat on Abby’s face as her body began to transform—but the smile was quickly erased.

No!” Abby shouted, gaining a return grip on Rosemary’s wrists with newfound mustered willpower. Hope burst forth from within her spirit. She pulled as hard as she could, attempting to break free. My god, she’s so strong, Abby thought. Her eyes clenched shut then burst back open with renewed panic. The hope began to die.

I’m not going to be able to stop her, she realized.

It’s…it’s done…

Then, an image of Jeremy popped into her head. On his knees in the donut shop cleaning up her mess, walking with her on the sidewalk after the art gallery storm disaster, holding her after they brought the last box into their new home…

Jeremy… she thought. I’m sorry…

The fight was almost gone.

In her mind, she saw a green pasture—with a red barn. It was fuzzy, but she could just make out a figure going into the barn. She was a young short skinny woman, about her own age, with hair very similar to her own.

With one last burst of willpower, Abby tightened her grip on her mind and held tight to who she was—determined not to lose it.

Abby! she screamed internally. I’m Abby! I’m 26 years old! I’m married to Jeremy Payne! She locked eyes with Rosemary as she was pulled in closer against Rosemary’s body. Rosemary smiled as she gazed into her prey.

Abby… she thought. I’m…Abby…Payne…

Her mind was now a dissipating cloud.

No… she struggled. No… I don’t wanna go…

She shook her head and tried harder to push meaningful thoughts though. The image of the red barn reappeared and the fuzziness began to sharpen. The figure that was walking in turned and looked at her. With a smile and a wave, the figure came into focus.

It was herself.

It was Abby Payne.

And she was waving goodbye.

I’m going…

It’s…it’s over…

Jeremy, I’m sorry…

I’m gonna go now…

Easier to give in…

It felt like a dam being built—like an iris seal clo portal of rushing water until only drips remained.

Feels like floating…

Abby’s muscles relaxed.

I’m going to my happy place…

She stepped into the barn.

Feels good to give up…

Standing in Rosemary’s kitchen, Abby’s face slackened into a dull stare.

Happy place…

The old Abby closed the barn door behind her and was no more.

Abby then looked up at Rosemary as her skin bronzed over into an orange tan and her hair darkened, only allowing a few strands of blonde highlights to peek through.

“I’m Abby Pay—”

Rosemary just shook her head “no” as Abby’s new tits came in. As the name “Payne” disappeared from Abby’s memory, her hips and butt slowly inflated as a firm hourglass figure set in. Reality shifted further as Abby’s t-shirt and jeans turned into a dark green lingerie set that matched Rosemary’s. New tattoos now adorned her smooth tanned skin, weaving up her thighs and ass until eventually a full sleeve coated her right arm.

Make-up painted her face—smoky eye shadow and too much mascara. Now shiny and glossy, Abby’s lips filled with collagen. Her upper lip flipped upperwards into a permanent duckface.

Her eyes dulled over as Abby then became incredibly stupid.

I’m Ab…bah…bah… buhhhhh…

Abby stared into the eyes of the sexy woman in front of her and wondered if she was going to get fingered soon. The wetness in her pussy was overwhelming and distracting and she wanted someone to finger her pussy. She realized she was in a kitchen but a kitchen was as good a place as any to get fingered. Hopefully, the woman holding her would finger her pussy any second now. If not, Abby would finger her own pussy.

Pussy…

Then, a man came running through the door. Abby tried to listen as Rosemary spoke to him. He looked scared and worried and, like, not all that hot… Abby lost interest in the man and looked back at Rosemary.

Rosemary…

The two of them talked for a bit about something boring, although Abby perked up when Rosemary said something about “fucking” and “cocks” and “jizz”.

Mmmmmm, Abby thought as her wetness began to run down her leg. Jizz… Then, she heard Rosemary say something about fucking Abby in the ass, and that sent her hormones into overdrive. She wanted to get fucked in the ass so bad! The guy Rosemary was talking to didn’t really put out the vibe that he was going to fuck her ass, so Abby quietly hoped that Rosemary had someone else in mind—and that that someone wasn’t too far away.

That’s when Rosemary’s eyes began to glow pink again. Abby watched with indifference as the worried guy’s eyes glowed pink as well. Slowly, he didn’t look worried any longer.

Rosemary left Abby and went to talk to the man. Slinking down to the ground, Abby felt her clit get all swollen. She reached her hand down her new silky panties and thought about big dicks. Staring around the room as she absent-mindedly masturbated on the floor, Abby eventually looked back up at Rosemary and nameless man.

After a few seconds, he began to change as well. Abby’s attention, weak as it was, held on long enough to catch the show as the man’s jawline grew stronger and shoulder’s broadened. Eventually, his shirt and pants vanished too and he was soon standing in only a pair of black tight underwear. Tattoos snaked around his body as well, while his body fat vanished, leaving him with a chiseled and toned beach body.

She started to count his ab muscles but she got confused and just stared at the big bulge in his crotch instead.

Hot… was all Abby’s simple brain could muster as a thought. The man no longer looked upset. In fact, he was eyeing Abby’s tits with a dull caveman’s stare that matched Abby’s braindead daze.

“Go on and try her out, stud,” Rosemary said.

Abby was able to figure out that Rosemary meant for the guy to fuck her, and Abby was fine with that. She opened her mouth and waited as the man walked up to her and yanked his underwear down. When his giant cock flopped into view (which was much larger than it was a few seconds ago), Abby just came immediately.

Big fuckin DICK, Abby brilliantly thought. Then, she started sucking on it, ready to cum again.

They fucked for a mere two minutes: he pounded her, her panties yanked to the side, emptied his balls, and then walked away, leaving a now-messier, sweatier Abby sprawled out on the ground.

That was the last time she ever saw that man again.

* * *

This week, Abby Donaldson’s husband was Kyle, a 32-year-old investment banker.

The house was now fully unpacked and decorated. As Kyle reclined in his living room for the week, his tattooed-wife for the week came slinking down the stairs completely naked. Kyle saw her approaching, grinned, and unzipped his pants.

“Want your dick sucked?” Abby asked her husband.

Kyle just nodded and wagged it at her.

Abby vacuumed it up like a good wifey, her bare ass bent over and her hands gripping his thighs. The words “Kyle’s Bitch” was tattooed on her lower back for the week—a popular customization for clients. When Kyle erupted in her mouth, Abby gobbled up his cum and then wiped her mouth with the back of her arm.

“Want a sandwich?” she asked with all the intelligence of a brick. Her huge tits stuck out from her chest like headlights.

“Sure, honey,” Kyle replied.

“Ok…” Abby said, dully, and walked off to the kitchen, her big naked butt jiggling with every step. She soon returned with an expertly-made roast beef sandwich on rye bread. Abby may be incredibly stupid now, but she can still perform the critical duties of a wife-for-hire. After handing Kyle the plate, she sat on the couch across from her new husband for the week, leaned back, and spread her legs by bringing her knees up to her sides and planting her feet on the edge of the couch. “Here’s my hole if you wanna fuck in a minute…” she said, holding eye with her husband.

If Abby had a confirmed “love language,” it was gift-giving; and her warm, soft cunt was her favorite gift to give.

Kyle planned to bang her hot cunt as soon as he finished his sandwich. With a smile, he stared at his temporary wife while she waited patiently for him to finish. She stared into his eyes, her own only half-open, and gave him her full attention. He couldn’t help but think to himself that the “wife experience” was worth every penny.

As he thought about it, he realized that a quick hot shower would be a great preamble to the railing he was about to give his new wife.

He slapped the armrests of his easy chair and stood up. “I’m gonna grab a quick shower, love. Wait here, okay?”

Kyle didn’t wait for an answer before he began to walk off, but Abby still looked up, still in position, and mumbled as she pointed to her pussy, “Uh-huh… horny.”

Abby did just as her husband requested and sat holding her legs open while he showered. At one point, one of the other husband’s of the week came through the front door and used her mouth for a bit. She never really got a good look at his face, but his dick was pretty girthy and stretched her lips out wide. Abby loved a girthy dick. Eventually, her throat was coated in warm spunk and the visitor gave one of her tits a little squeeze then left.

No one ever locks their doors! Brooke had told her a few weeks ago. Next door, Brooke Henly was giving her new husband, Jason, a rimjob in the kitchen while a dozen cupcakes baked in the oven, filling the room with a sweet aroma. Jason relaxed on the couch with his knees tucked up, similar to Abby’s position, and had his wife lick his asshole. When the timer dinged, Brooke hopped up and sweetly skipped into the kitchen. “Cookies are ready, darling!” she said. “I’ll be back to eat your asshole some more in a moment!” Jason just smiled at his wife and said, “You’re such a cutie…” She just giggled and went to tend to her baking.

Abby wasn’t aware of it, but her sudden visitor was Keisha Robert’s husband for the week, Peter. He had asked Keisha if she was cool if he went next door and fucked that hot bimbo in the mouth for a bit. Keisha laughed and said that it sounded “cool as shit!” She told him to let her know how it goes and then he was free to come back and bang her in the butt while they watched an action flick or something.

Keisha was cool like that.

Glancing out the window, Selina McAbey could be seen relaxing on the front porch while her new husband, Wilson, fanned her with a giant palm frond. “Faster,” she commanded, to which Wilson attempted to oblige. When he didn’t live up to her expectations, she sighed and grabbed her husband’s wrist. “Looks like someone needs a little disciplining until they learn to do things right,” she said, leading Wilson back into the house with a big horny grin on his face.

Over in Iris Falls, Jeremy Payne became a big hit with female clients—mainly older cougars wanting the tough-husband experience. Some women liked the brutish dominant husband that would easily pin them on the ground with one arm as he took any available hole that struck his fancy. Jeremy fulfilled a specific customer demand for Hugo and Rosemary, and they were happy that things had gone the way they did.

Hugo had explained to Jeremy the Association rule about loud sex noises after midnight, and Jeremy had listened. He had explained to Jeremy how the Association felt about uninvited guests, and Jeremy had become uneasy. When he had explained to Jeremy that all women needed to go through a special process with Rosemary—which Abby had been experiencing at that moment—Jeremy had run out of the house.

Now, Jeremy lived on the other side of the trees.

1120 Arbor Circle is where Abby stays—still in her happy place. Some men want a sweet little wifey all to themselves—and guests of Ivy Falls have Brooke for that experience. She’ll bake you a tray of cookies then, while you chow down, smile and suck on your pecker in her floral apron and with a cute little giggle bubbling up in the back of her throat. She’ll purr and coo and pop your cock out of her mouth just long enough to say with the biggest smile: “It’s the best dick ever, sweetie!” Then, she’ll jerk you off onto her tongue.

Some men just want a dumb slut for a wife—and guests now have Abby for that.
